Fantastic atmosphere, great ambience. First glass of champagne was flat, had to send it back. Great taste combination. Sushi rice fell apart in soy sauce. Can work with improving sushi rice texture. And with poor rice texture (stickiness) it is difficult to eat the fried rice with sticks. In fact several dishes was not made for eating with sticks. And cutlery was not available. Service can be improved. Friendly staff, but serving not 100%. Wine came a while after food. One of the dishes came a while before others. Nothing was cleaned from the table during meal, leaving us with a pile of glasses. Picky maybe, but this restaurant aspires to be top notch, and is pricy. We stayed at the Angsana hotel and absolutely loved the atmosphere of the hotel and the restaurant Oribu. The service was good. The food was not at all what I was expecting especially for the price. We paid almost 300.00 Euros 💶 for 2 adults and 2 kids with 1 glass of wine and 1 glass of Prosecco. It really irritates me that places think they can get away with charging so much money for food that is not even worth half the price of what they charge. It has great views. We came with expectations, cause it’s just fair that if you pay 25 euros for each dish then the food will be worth it. The starters were very small dishes, and not that good. The proportions of flavours were a disaster. We ordered sushi that came with tons of soy sauce, we ordered poke that was sour as hell. We paid 150 euros without drinking any wine, just 1 cocktails and food, and honestly it didn’t worth it at all! We ate in much better restaurants at the old town for much less and it was much better.
