Kavouras — Restaurant in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

Brother ehwww.... the only good things about this place is it's positioning, over the sea shore, but the food, the service, the waiting, Hell no. My experience : I went at this restaurant after reading good reviews about the seafood there, big mistake. i ordered a grilled octopus and my partner had some salad wtih some special ROCK solid black bread in it, Cretan Dakos bread or something. anyway, the grilled octopus was burned, chewy, bitter, legit the worst i ever had in my life, and i ve had them all over Europe. My partner's salad was acceptable but the cretan bread in it ... you cant break it unless you have wolverine like teetth... we stoped there, dissapointed by the food we ve had so far we decided not to order anything else and get the hell out of there so we maybe reach a good gyros fast food before closing. I told the waiter, or restaurant manager or whatever he was, to bring us the check, cash, fast if possible... sure... he said, right away... 20 minutes later we finnaly recieved the check. 42 euros, 1 grilled octopus, 1 cretan dakos salad, 1 coke and 1 water (which we did not order) , they even charged us for 4 pieces of bread, the worst, cheapest, tasteless, supermarket bought bread i ever ate... just like the water, we didnt order it, they just brought it to us and charged us 4 euros for it. Aaaaaanyway.... i payed the 42 euros with a 50 note... waited for the change for another 20 minutes, at one point i had the feeling that they did not want to bring it anymore, like they were entitled to a 8 euro tip for GARBAGE food. i had to go inside the restaurant and ask for my change twice. I recieved it after 20 something minutes AND i did not leave a tip, not 1 cent. Please stay away from this place, it's a tourist trap, a cash grab... there are other great places where you can eat...

The pizza is not bad(literally, not too good not too bad). Here is the big BUT though. The service was extemely bad( not exaggerating). The first waiter was really uninterested and took our orders as if she wanted us to leave. After that, the second waiter brought my pizza to another table by accident. Accidents can be made no problem at all, but after I asked where my pizza was, it was not even in the oven. He was still serving customers who came later. At the end they gave me the pizza for free after I said that I don't want the pizza anymore. Certainly not recommendable unless you want to have...

We went here as we saw the wood fired oven and were in the mood for pizza. Service wasn't great - the waitress kept knocking our tables due to bad layout. The pizzas also weren't very tasty - the dough was quite flavourless and the toppings didn't enhance it much. I ordered the primavera with a pesto base and unfortunately the pizza was cold in the middle. My partner's pizza was slightly better (cant recall the name but it had ham, cheese and peppers).
