Words couldn't possibly describe accurately how pleased we all felt after having lunch at Varvara's in Benitses. Both service and food were top-notch. We received the warmest welcome even before sitting down. They treated us not only with kindness but also respect. We surely felt at home!

Every single thing we ordered was delicious. The portions are quite big, so be prepared for lots of tasty Greek food. As expected, this tavern does not offer cheap meals-which is shown not only on the meals' prices but also quality. The slightly high cost of each food on the menu may seem intimidating for some people at first glance but it's totally worth every penny. On average, we paid 15-20€ each.

The cooking was clearly made out of love. The ingredients used were fresh and picked carefully, giving a spectacular taste even to easy-to-do recipes (like the boiled potatoes for instance).

The staff are incredibly friendly, open, and genuinely passionate. They greet you with a warm smile and speak just enough of every language to make everyone feel right at home. It’s like being welcomed into a friend’s kitchen.
