I recently dined at this charming Greek family and friend-run restaurant, and I must say, it was a delightful culinary experience. Nestled in the heart of the area, with the best sea and sunset views please ignore all the other huge restaurants on the coast that are like tourists cattle packed experiences where as Theros restaurant boasts an inviting atmosphere with warm, rustic decor that exudes a sense of home. The star of the show, undoubtedly, was their impeccable seafood selection. From the freshest Greek salads to tender calamari to succulent grilled octopus, sea bream that absolutely had us looking at each other and saying Wow!! each dish was a testament to their mastery in preparing fresh catches from the sea we came here 5 times!! Something we never do on holiday we try out other places but we found ourselves leaving very quickly from other places and heading here. The flavors were an exquisite symphony of Mediterranean spices, leaving my taste buds dancing with joy. The attentive and friendly service added to the overall enjoyment, making me feel like an honored guest in their home. One night we came it was my partner's birthday and I asked the team if they could make her a birthday cake or something to celebrate while still being busy with other major sized tables the team made something amazing for her birthday Without a doubt, this restaurant has set the bar high for seafood and Greek food done right in the area, and I can't wait to return for another...

We simply cannot rate Theros and all the Theros team highly enough. I think this maybe my first Google review! That’s how much we love this place! Having had a career that involved extensive travelling globally and been an expat we have stayed and eaten in some amazing places from the best local street food secrets to the highest end restaurants and hotels and have been to Crete several times on holiday. Theros is up there as one of our favourite places. We are discerning when it comes to quality, fresh ingredients, delicious food with excellent service. This is one of our first holidays where we have kept going back to the same place - Theros, because we just have to try to try everything on the menu it’s that good! The tasteful setting with the most amazing view, and the Theros team - well they are all simply amazing, so welcoming and friendly we feel quite at home there. I can’t say enough about the experience we have had at Odysseas Hotel and Theros Restaurant. Not only is the chef incredible at his craft, he is unbelievably nice and honestly cares about the quality of the food he is putting out on the table. I told him tonight that if he were to go work in the US he would be a millionaire, and I meant it. The family that owns the hotel and restaurant is one that is so refreshing and nice. The ENTIRE Krasoudaki family is so helpful and genuinely kind. And, again, you can tell that they really care about the quality of the restaurant, the hotel, the beach... everything — the entire experience. I wish I could stay here forever. And yes, I am writing this from my room here in the hotel.
