Carpe Diem — Restaurant in Municipality of Platanias

This is by far the cleanest restaurant I’ve been to, not just in Crete but anywhere.

Anytime of the day this place is sparkling clean and that’s just one of the reasons I definitely visit it every time I am in the area.

Year after after year the small and major updates are apparent but the feel and the people remain the same.

The menu on the other hand is evolving, sometimes with greater steps while other year with a few new additions.

The food quality is high and the quantities are more than fair for the price.

I highly suggest the most tender Gyros I have ever had, the legumes salad which apart from nutritious is also super tasty and also the grilled vegetables with pesto sauce on top!

The most wonderful birthday treat for my husband, everyone was so friendly and surprised him with a chocolate pudding and Happy Birthday sing song.
