Refresh beach — Restaurant in Municipality of Chania

We discovered this place as it was convenient to us with very nice and quiet beach, managed sunbeds and umbrellas area, and very nice sea view terrace restaurant. We came back to it several times, and also recommended to some friends that happened to be around at the same time.

All is very clean and well maintained, the kitchen is very well equipped , top appliances and fully open. Restroom area was always clean, same with beach area. Very good food and well maintained quality. Excellent cook and service, every time we eat on the terrace or ordered on the beach, we got exactly how it was pictured in the menu, large portions, tasty and delightful presentation. Did not attached pictures as the printed menu is very well structured and has accurate pictures of the food.

The owners are very involved and helpful, and we appreciate their service during our beach or restaurant stay.

Prices are very good compared to Chania town restaurants and even local ones. We did tested restaurants in the neighborhood areas and found this to be best suited for us due to service, food quality and atmosphere.

Only thing we and our fiends have to say, was that there is no grilled fish or fried anchovies/white bait, yet I believe this choice was made as a compromise so that dishes in the menu can be served consistently and with top...

We visited Refresh several times in June 2022, the first being for breakfast which was delicious. The owner and his family were very welcoming and were always available to help. A very clean, well kept and modern venue. We used the sunbeds regularly which are 8 euros for 2 beds, table and umbrella all day. The beach was lovely and the sea was quite warm. we tried other sunbeds further up the beach but found this to be the nicest part. After we finished at the beach, we loved having a beer at one of the tables and watching the world go by. On our last day, we had a late flight so ate here for our lunch and shared a club sandwich with wedges which was plenty for two. We then had a last meal here before flying home...

Not recommended. Look around there is much better! We came here because we got attracted from the waffles and pancakes as we really wanted something sweet, so decided to have dinner as well. Service was fairly poor, food was completely cooked in oil and impossible to eat without feel sick, but the thing that shocked me was a guy left the bill on our table even before to have the food on it!! People were waiting ages and there was just one guy running around while an other one was just chilling. Well at the end, since we had the bill ready from the beginning we decided to leave a look for something sweet...
