Here, we ordered a Margherita Pizza, French Fries, and Beer. Since I have some personal knowledge about making Neapolitan-style pizza, I feel comfortable reviewing the pizza.
It was clear that the pizza dough hadn’t rested well and wasn’t prepared with fermentation techniques like biga or poolish. As a result, although the crust was crispy, the inside wasn’t soft enough and lacked air bubbles. Had this criterion been met, it could have been an excellent pizza. This place had the best mozzarella I’ve tasted in Samos; the cheese and sauce were well balanced.
As a big fan of French fries, I’ve tried them at 5-6 different places in Samos, and this was my favorite restaurant for fries. In fact, I don’t remember having such delicious fries even in Turkey. They were wedge-cut, and the potatoes were flavorful and full inside.
For beer, we chose Alfa and Mythos. Alfa’s taste was similar to beers in Turkey, while Mythos was a bit sweeter. Frankly, I didn’t like either of them but would prefer Alfa. If you enjoy sweeter beers, you might like Mythos, so maybe don’t take my preferences too seriously. Writing this as someone who only enjoys Bomonti in Turkey and drinks Tuborg Gold malt beer when Bomonti isn’t available.
In conclusion, I’d say this is a decent spot if you want to have pizza.
