The location was fantastic. Located centrally in a square filled with cozy restaurants. Not too busy. Good vibes and attentive staff. The owner was keen on us trying certain dishes and we gladly complied. Started off with the mushroom rolls which were delicious. For the main course my lady got the lamb in lemon sauce. We had a good laugh as the handwritten menu read “lamp” rather than lamb but I digress. The lamb was tender and flavorful but contained a fair share of bones. The accompanying rice and fries were decent. I got the pork steak with bone which was served with fries and a simple salad. The meat was a bit dry but I recognize that a juicy pork steak is hard to come by. Would have been nice with some sauce on the side. Finally we were surprised to get some desert on the house which was an apple cake topped with cinnamon. All in all the staff were friendly and the food was tasty but not top tier. Prices were quite similar to the restaurants in the area and by the harbor. Final...
Read moreBest souvlaki I have ever eaten. Last year, I found Tigani coincidentally and ordered souvlaki in the first place. The meat was very soft and melted in my mouth, and it was served with a very delicious small side salad and tzatziki, as well as very tasty small pieces of bread. This year I also ordered the same dish and the result was again amazing.
What is a big, bold plus is the politeness and friendliness of the staff. They make you feel welcome from the moment you step in, with their warm greetings and attentive service. The ambiance of the restaurant is cozy and inviting, creating a perfect setting for enjoying a meal with family or friends.
Overall, Tigani has consistently delivered exceptional food and top-notch service. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves authentic Greek cuisine. I can't wait to return and try more dishes from their menu. Five stars...
Read moreBad experience, average quality food (salad with no taste, lamb with no spices, old bread, bad wine), average portions, inexistence staff even though with the regular customers they were paying a bit more attention. On top of everything, the two slices of bread thry brought to our table were old (and yes, we had to pay for them) and also when we asked to bring us olive oil for our greek salad (which was tasteless and with no olive oil), they told us we need to pay for it. It is the first time in my many trips to Greece when I am being asked to pay to add olive oil to my salad. This was our last night in Samos and we could not have been more dissapointed by this tavern. Please avoid this...
