Barbounaki Glyfada — Restaurant in Municipality of Glyfada

Incredibly unprofessional and shockingly rude management. We had a confirmed reservation, yet were dismissively told to “take a walk” for 45 minutes. Upon returning, although a table had clearly become available, the manager shamelessly gave it away and ordered us to leave. Instead of showing the slightest trace of courtesy or professionalism, the managers chose to argue in a condescending and arrogant manner, completely disregarding the concept of hospitality. Their attitude was not only unhelpful but openly hostile, as if guests were an inconvenience rather than the very reason the restaurant exists. The atmosphere they create is cold, unwelcoming, and entirely out of place for a supposedly reputable venue in Glyfada. In the end, we left deeply dissatisfied, to which the manager cynically replied, “Thank you,” as if mocking our experience. If you value basic respect, customer care, or even a shred of decency — avoid this place. There are plenty of restaurants in Glyfada that will actually appreciate...

Spectacular restaurant with phenomenal food at an amazing pricing level I would say. The smoked eel the sardines the octopus the baby shrimp the salad the rest of the appetizers the beer and the ice cold glass with ice cold beer what else could a person ask for. Well anything I did ask for they delivered above and and beyond my best expectation. So I went to this restaurant 5 times the past 2 months and 2 months and every single time I ate up the food before I could take a picture and then I realized that I had already finished with dinner it's dinner and was unfortunately not at a position to make this post. But this time I took full advantage of taking pictures of every single dish as they came and do you know what the best part of everything was not only that everything was fantastic the way it was put together but the ingredients they use are unforgettable they're so tasty they're so delicious. “ Amazing and best seafood restaurant in Glyfada.” Wrote this 3 years ago 2018.

Went back today after 3 years and what can I say: The worst service I have ever received from a restaurant in Athens.

Staff were too busy talking away to each other and acting like the Greek word “munges”

Table left unattended and full of empty plates. Had to almost beg them to take them away.

Asked for fruit at the end and was told they will bring some only to bring a plate of what looked like a quick fix sweet platter.

After spending 160 euros, didn’t even get a thank you at the end even after walking past 4 staff.

The other “munges” including the manager were next door having a laugh and giggle.

After recommending this place to many Australians in the past, I will definitely be recommending...
