Best Beach I've been to of the 4 beaches I've been to in Athens. Entry : €7.5 Monday to Friday. €9 weekends. €4 discount for over 65s, kids age 6-12 & students with id card.
Beach has great gradual decline into water and great for kids as it's shallow enough to kids to stand up for the first 20 meters into the water. The water had floaty bits of small plants and stuff which was the case with all the beaches. Wasn't any painful rocks in the water either which was nice as we went to Akti Iliou beach yesterday and there were so many painful rocks as we went in for the first 4 meters.
Friendly staff. All lounge chairs hired as a pair. €40 for pair for first 2 rows closest to water. €30 for all rows back. Came with big towel and pillow. There was a €10 lounger without umbrella but under tree near restaurant that could hired on its own and without hiring a pair.
Nice showers
There's about 4 restaurants at the beach with their own beds and loungers. We went to "Bloom"and got the Suzuki Mango (8pcs) €12 Cured Sea Bass | Asparagus | Avocado | Exotic Sweet Chili Mango Gyros €13.5 Chicken | Paratha bread | Avocado "tzatziki" sauce | Brioche breakfast € 9,5 omelet | Mayonnaise | Onion jam | Harajuku sauce | French fries Everything was very tasty, good value and good portion size.
The best toilets and changing rooms I've seen at any beach! Nice atmosphere and decor of restaurants. Fairly priced food. Qr code ordering and waiter service to lounge chairs. High quality beach shops once you enter. Nicer than guys walking around selling stuff in my opinion. Felt safe. Very family friendly.
The lifeguard fished out a dead bird from water which was nice initiative as other beaches with free entry beaches had litter. This beach had a cleaner going around so...
Read moreI asked some local teenage boys how to get to the beach and they took me through an opening in the damaged fence on the road Leof. Kon/nou Karamanli. I think I went through some type of resort. I guess I bypassed the entrance fee but apparently it is an illegal establishment anyway so locals bypass it all the time.
It was actually very lovely (for Athens city beach standards). It is a lot cleaner than other Athenian beaches, the water is especially clear.
I went to the end of the beach where there are no sun beds, close to the vegetation and nudist beach. There is a beach platform with shade. I went in June and it was quiet (in this non sun bed area) and mostly just locals.
On the other side of the beach there is another area without sunbeds, also lovely but a bit busier with lots of local young people & teenagers playing water sports etc. It is a nice atmosphere though.
In terms of food, there’s not much choice best off eating elsewhere (or bring with you). Sun beds are expensive but just bring your...

Comparing with private beach at Alimos, the sand & sea quality aren‘t 200% better, but here u are guaranteed a parking space and sunbed after 12noon. Two companies running the sunbed rentals, first one for left and mid ones, second for right sided ones, which is cheaper. Left & mid are 40 per pair, right side is 30, all sides adding 10 eur for first row.
Shallow and clear water up to 50m from coast, up to thigh only, then gradually deepening to abt 5‘ at 100m from coast. Some rotten leaves at bottom of sea from 50-100m but not serious. Otherwise all fine sands at bottom of sea.
Food is like 16 for clubsandwich and 4.5 for freddo capuccino. Fine sandwich but fries are tasteless without salt or sauce. The coffee didnt come with a free bottle of water which is kind of a norm in other private beaches & also coffee...
