We were so disappointed with our meal after seeing so many excellent reviews. We will not be dining in the tourist area again. The aubergine starter looked nice and was presented well, but the undercooked aubergine lacked flavour apart from vinegar. In fact vinegar appeared to be the main theme of the evening. My wife had the mushroom gnocchi which was ok but salty and sharp. My Cretan rice dish again was uninspiring. The mushrooms were nice but the pickled onion and pickled red pepper in the rice were unpleasant. We were charged for bread and water for the first time in Crete and the overall dining experience was not good.
