Little Angels — Restaurant in Municipality of Kantanos-Selinon

We were two persons for dinner and from experience we knew that here in Greece the dishes usually are big, so we ordered a Mixed Grill with chicken, 2 types of pork, lamb and cow. The dished was served with oven baken potatoes. For the side we ordered an Avocado salat containing lettuce, avocado,tomatoes, walnuts and some carrots in slices. The mandatory bread served at the beginning was absolutely great with a little olive oil on top. Drinks were Fix Dark and an Aperorol Spritz. The meat was pretty tender but my partner found the pork had a little too much fat. Thechicken was nice as well as the other types of meat. The potatoes were well cooked and very tasty. I loved the Avocado salad hiwever my partner wishedthere were a little more walnuts. As usual the vegitables were very tasty. We have tried a lot of beers and drinks and finally wefound a dark beer, the Fix Dark which we both liked. And for once the Aperol was perfect. The service was nice and friendly and the restaurant is situated in a quiet area of this town on the south of Crete. It is a very nice place but a bit quiet when it comes to customers. Excellent food, that’s why we came back. The food was still excellent but the service would probably been better at a Russian gas station! The waiter was insulted by us asking for the build for the third time, making loud comments about us as customers. Then presenting a build that was clearly wrong. He could not even add the numbers correctly. Anyway we paid and Ieft. A sad story about a place that serve excellent food but use waiters that have no clue. Great Tavern! We have had a pleasure to visit it with our children. The service was very nice. No problem with storing the trolley or finding a booster for infant. When it comes to location - great concept of a terrace for waiters and kitchen placement on higher ground. No problem with long awaits for service - they possess great view for all tables and visitors. Dining area is open and partially covered with trees. Lovely. Food is very tasty. We have not had a chance to try out whole menu but shrimps saganaki is very good. Moussaka is the best. Risotto tastes like Crete....
