Family Gill House — Restaurant in Municipality of Kantanos-Selinon

Delicious food, normal prices (for a change!) and a well designed menu with variety of options. We have been there a few times and everything we tried exceeded our expectations for a local taverna. Beware and be patient though, because it takes f-o-r-e-v-e-r to get served when it gets busy and looks understaffed. The waitress was very attentive and polite, however we cannot say the same for the guy who is there (owner maybe?) He looks like he's had enough and not enjoying his job if you know what I mean... Fake smiles, ironic at times, just killed the whole vibe of that beautiful place. As mentioned before, foodwise - all of our meals were amazing (we kept trying different ones) and would highly recommend it. Just try to ignore the negative vibes, if present. Although its not by the seaside, or offer amazing views, worth trying this well hidden gem for it's mouthwatering...

A tavern serving local Greek cuisine, with a unique interior, delicious dishes, excellent prices, and great service. Like any respectable local restaurant, desserts, water and liquor are offered. I recommend their lamb dishes, which are delicious. In the menu there is the "mom's food" section, it is exactly what I was looking for, something authentic, different from the usual. Rude service, long wait if your order is small. ( It took them more than half an hour to bring us our appetizers ).They prioritise big tables neglecting those eating less. That big bearded chap serving food is quite aggressive. Some food was okay but pricey, some was a joke and not worth trying.
