Pelagos Bar - Greek Music Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Karpathos

My wife and I decided to have dinner at this location. At first it was nice and homey with live Greek music and great atmosphere. But then the smokers came out of the woodwork and it seemed there was no way to get away from them (we asked the waiter if there is a no smoking area we can sit at and he simply replied "it's in the open air"). We ordered fried kalamari and mousaka. The kalamari was alright, if somewhat bland and the mousaka tasted strange and the mince meat inside was quite raw, which was not good.

We came here because it seemed a nice place. It wasn't. The music was okay but not special. Two guys played guitar and one just sat on the stage.

They didn't have half of the meat meals available so I ordered a gyros plate. It was a small portion compared to the price. The meat was clearly taken out of a freezer and heated in a microwave.

We arrived to our hotel very late. After settling down we started looking for a restaurant or any place with food to offer. Right outside our hotel we heard some noise coming and we followed it. We ended up in Pelagos. Even though the time was as late as 11.30 pm, and they had closen the kitchen. They still offered to make us something to eat.
