Summary at the end!
Tart offers quite a comfortable space to spend your time in, with a pleasant atmosphere, which is unfortunately overshadowed by their sub-par food.
I stumbled upon the shop when searching for a nice spot to grab brunch and relax and was tempted by its looks. I sat inside and scanned their QR code menu which, sadly, already made me doubt whether i'd be getting any decent food, as I noticed their savory brunch options had dubious, overly barebones ingredients listed. It felt like the place was a sweets shop that decided to branch out half heartedly, hardly offering anything savory that seemed appealing enough to justify the price (9€~ for most brunch dishes, reasonable but not cheap). For instance, their chicken (Caesar's) salad replaced grated parmesan and mayo-based Caesar's dressing with parmesan flakes and plain mayo, but I was in the mood for the dish so I ignored my initial instincts and ordered it. The salad was made quickly and seemingly with freshly cooked chicken which was a pleasant surprise. Despite its appealing appearance however, I found that the croutons were tiny and scarce, as were the parmesan flakes; The greens were likely the worst I've had in a while and the chickens seasoning or marinade was way too strong for a salad and made me lose my appetite. I was disappointed by my meal and to make matters worse, the, polite, waitress was almost pacing around in and out of the seating area (seperated from the rest of the interior by an overly sensitive automatic door that she would repeatedly trigger by approaching), almost Looming over the customers constantly, which felt overbearing and uncomfortable to me. In bewilderment with the bad food I'd received, considering the looks of Tart, I checked the google reviews and was surprised to see it have 4.7 stars, most reviews complimenting their sweets and stating that the serving sizes were massive, so I decided that maybe I shouldn't judge a sweets shop by its salads and ordered their cheesecake slice. Unfortunately that changed little, as the 5€ slice was not particularly large, had an average at best, too sweet, flavor and a disappointing, overly solid texture (as if kept in excessively cool displays). The, admittedly not so significant, cherry on top? You might recall, from some point in your life, a nice cake with an edible, chocolate plate on top which read the title of the shop that made it. Tart's cheesecake slice was topped by such a plate, though not one made of chocolate but of cardboard which I almost bit into (since i wasn't told its not edible) but thankfully checked beforehand.
Overall? Tart is a nice place to sit. Maybe nice to have coffee at (I didn't try), but certainly not one to eat at. The unremarkable, below average, cheesecake and nearly inedible, lazily sourced salad (both on the pricier side of casual) that I had, unfortunately cemented the shop as a place i will not be...
Read moreCarrot cake - cloyingly sweet! Huge portion size, good texture but it was too sweet! There was no tartness in the cream cheese frosting to balance out the dominating sweetness.
Μιλφειγ φιστίκι - There was no picture of this product on the Wolt online ordering site. I was expecting a traditional product, instead got a deconstructed dessert in a plastic jar! If I had known this I would not have ordered it for 2 reasons : the use of plastic packaging and I am not into eating desserts from jars that look...
Read moreIt is a nice place for coffee, sweets, and brunch. I went there with a group of friends, and we tasted many of their brunch plates. The quiches were really nice and I thought their bagel sandwich looked great. I tried the avocado toast with a hard-boiled egg that was quite pleasant, but, for my taste, but the toast bread was way too thick! The lemon tarts we're tops as well as their loukoumades. 😋😋 The service was very friendly but quite slow ....but our group didn't mind as we...
