We visited Caprice Cafe in Kos Town, located by the harbour with a nice view, but unfortunately our experience was disappointing. The waiter (or possibly the owner) came across as unwelcoming and at times a little rude. When we asked for cocktail recommendations, he shrugged and said, “I don’t know what you like.” I found this very off-putting — a staff member should be passionate about their menu and help make the experience enjoyable, not leave guests feeling unsure.
Additionally, he repeatedly commented on what he assumed was a “Scouse” accent, even though we are from South Wales. It felt unnecessary and made us uncomfortable, as we were simply trying to enjoy an evening out without explaining our background.
