Casa della Pasta - Ristorante Italiano — Restaurant in Municipality of Kos

Went this evening and ordered 1 x spicy pizza and 1 x prosciutto pasta. First, wrong wine was brought to the table (ordered rose but got white, no big deal). Dishes came at the same time. Pasta was good, portion size spot on and very tasty. Pizza was good but absolutely no spicy heat to it whatsoever - was listed as 3 chillies on the menu but it was just ham, pepperoni, mushrooms and peppers. Waiter didn't come back to see if everything was ok so no opportunity to express disappointment. Plates were cleared, not asked if we wanted anything else. Sat for about 15 mins, requested the bill. Brought a couple of fruit sorbets which were nice. Had to ask for the bill again. When it came it was different to what we were expecting. The pizza was €11 on the menu but we were charged €12. The pasta dish was charged at €14 rather than €13.50. I wouldn't have had a problem if they'd said when we arrived "right guys, these menus are out of date, the prices have gone up a little bit, I'll tell you the cost of what you order". But no, say nothing and leave you feeling slightly scammed at the end. I'm well aware of rising prices, but every other restaurant we've been to in Kos have charged the price displayed. So in summary - food generally ok, service slow, pricing for food incorrect. Shockingly bad service. We ordered Frito misto, Greek salad, and two mains. After 30 mins nothing has yet turned up on the table so we asked about it. We were told that it's coming from one waiter , to which we replied "30 mins for a Greek salad"? To which he got angry and said that we should appreciate other customers (ha! How about hiring more staff if you can't cope? That's our fault?), and when I said that he said that "it's not his problem". Normally we would have waited and expected some financial apology for this but because of those kind of replies we had no reason but to leave. Visited here twice. The first time the service was great and the food was just amazing. I had the chicken saffron risotto and it was just divine. Then the second time i had a ceasar salad which was frankly awful. They used ice berg lettuce and put the whole bud in my plate. Very little chicken and not much sauce. Over all i was disappointed after recommending the place to the other 7 people we were on holiday with. They forgot the chips for another member of our party. We asked for them and we received them when we had all finished our meals about 20 minutes before hand. I think food quality and service is not consistent here.
