Unsure if we could just sit down so asked and we were pointed out a table, given menus and left to it. After about 10 minutes a server came and took our order, I asked her if we could have the table cleaned as it was covered in grit, this seemed to annoy her and she came and passed a cloth over it. She brought our drinks with a grunt and left us to it. We waited nearly an hour before our food came out with not an explanation as to why or even to see if we needed any more drinks. Food arrived, I had ordered lasagne with 'roast potatoes' and my sister asked for the pork chop with vegetables and rice. The rice was plain boiled rice and the vegetables were boiled peas which unfortunately tasted and smelled of bleach, the pork was cooked quite nicely but it was an overall bland meal made inedible because of the peas. My lasagne was quite tasty but lukewarm and the potatoes hadn't even seen the inside of an oven and were swimming in oil. We fed the pork to a local cat, paid the bill and left. Awful service...
Read moreBeen coming here years, was always such a friendly welcoming family restaurant. Service was awful from start to finish this time. No welcome, menus and food were thrown at us with a grunt. Friends of the owners family arrived and nearly knocked my elderly father of his chair. Food was nowhere near as good on previous occasions. No other drinks were offered and the restaurant was not full. We waited for someone to take a dessert order, no one came. Finally a young lad arrived, he grunted cash or card & pointed so we paid and left. So disappointing I wished I'd never taken my elderly parents there on our last night in Kos. We had a wonderful dessert, cocktails & coffee at a Thomas on the waterfront where my parents were treated like royalty. Will never go back or recommend again. This place sadly was the most unwelcoming that we've ever experienced on the...
Read moreI had a look on the reviews already available... Probably an additional one is unuseful. But, I came here every day for almost three weeks on July 2017 and now I returned again after more or less one year. They recognised me: apparently, nothing is changed. We were my self and my wife. We ordered two grilled big fish (one entire the other barbed) plus two dishes of potatos cooked in the oven, one litre of white wine and one ouzo for two people.... We paid in total €31,50. The quality is good (always good), the portions are generous and the personnel is truly friendly. We plan to remain in Kardamaina more than one month... I am sure we will eat in this Taverna...
