Taverna livadi — Restaurant in Municipality of Milopotamos

Hello! We stay in Crete (area Bali) for 9 days. I was with a baby, so I didn't really visit other areas of the island. I only visited other areas for 2 days, so I had every lunch at Livadi tavern. Everything we had from the menu was excellent! By far the best seafood (the octopus is in top), the best lamb chops I've had (although I've never liked lamb), generous lettuce salad. The portions are generous, balanced so that you are full, but not gain weight. I got lamb chops for 3-4 time. We love coffee in the sand and here, at the tavern, we drank Greek coffee, also made in the sand. The Greek coffee was creamy, aromatic, excellent! I drank the Greek coffee every day. We also try some greek food, i don't remember the name. Excellent!

The service was prompt, with a smile on the lips and enthusiasm because the business belongs to them. They are a family. And surely the satisfaction is maximum knowing that on Google you appear as the best.

I have an allergy to milk products, but it wasn't a problem because they use olive oil (he said he doesn't buy butter since the island produces so much olive oil). Every time I asked for a note, to pay the bill, I got dessert and I appreciated every time that they took my allergy into account, so they offered me fruits (melon and red watermelon - by far the sweetest I've ever eaten). All I have to say, is that 4.7 is not representing the truth and since the owner of the restaurant seems to be really polite and gentle I believe that he will appreciate an honest review that is written to help them improve.

First let me sat that the service is excellent. Everyone is really polite and they are really fast. Also the place is clean and well maintained.

But the food is really average. I want to believe that all the ingredients and the sea food are fresh and of good quality. I am not expert to judge so I believe them.

But the taste of the dishes and the final result is not so good. I think since they seem to care, the cook must follow some training to improve the taste of the foods. From the salads up to the sea food, or even the "fast food", like pizza, all needs improvements.

They are good people, so I hope that they will take my advise under consideration and next year they will be able to offer a better experience, so that they will really deserve...
