STREET SOUVLAKI MITILINI — Restaurant in Municipality of Mytilene

🇬🇷Street Souvlaki was our very first stop right after arriving at the port of Mytilene last weekend.

Most shops were closed due to the traditional midday siesta, so finding this little food stall open was a lovely surprise.

It’s a small and charming kiosk, easy to spot with its red and yellow colors, located on a street corner close to the sea. Just two stools out front, but it’s perfect for a quick bite.

Mini meat skewers (beef, pork, etc.) start from €1.5. There’s also tzatziki – thicker than the version we know in Turkey. Everything was clean, and the one person running the place was quick and kind.

The skewers were served on wrapping paper instead of a plate, but the bread that came with them was impressively fresh.

If you’re looking for something fast, cheap, and satisfying, this is a great option in Mytilene!

🇹🇷 Geçtiğimiz hafta sonu Midilli’ye vardığımızda, limana iner inmez uğradığımız ilk yer Street Souvlaki oldu. Öğle saatlerinde adanın siesta geleneği nedeniyle çoğu yer kapalıydı; böylesi sessiz ve tenhalaşmış bir atmosferde açık olduğunu görünce çok sevindik.

Denize yakın bir sokak köşesinde, kırmızı ve sarı renkleriyle dikkat çeken küçük ama sevimli bir büfe. Önünde sadece iki taburesi var, ama ayaküstü bir şeyler atıştırmak için oldukça ideal.

Dana ve domuz vb. gibi farklı et türlerinden yapılan minik şiş kebaplar 1.5 Euro’dan başlıyor. Cacıki de var ama Türkiye’de alıştığımızdan daha yoğun kıvamlı. Mekan temizdi, siparişleri hazırlayan tek kişi hem ilgili hem de hızlıydı. Şişleri tabak yerine paket kağıdı üzerine koyarak servis etti, yanında verdiği ekmekler çok tazeydi.

Midilli’de hızlı, ekonomik ve lezzetli bir atıştırmalık...

Addition to my review just ate here again Saturday the 12th before leaving for the airport. Remember I'm a Greek posting this. This little place is just so awesome, 5 things on the menu & he does them great, the 6th is just the pita bread lightly grilled & cut up which he does just right by the way, my personal favorite was the kebab, his 3 other καλαμάκια were also awesome & of course he did the fries just right and no hint of old oil. You have to stop by if you're in Mytilini. Τέλειο!!...

It is nice place for street food. I tried chicken, kebab and tzatziki. They were tasty. Unfortunately when i went to there, there was no beef burger stick.

Concept is street food, if you expect sth fancy, it is not for you.
