Me and my girlfriend visited this place on our last night in Naxos. The restaurant and the view of the sea looks amazing.
Food: For starters we ordered aubergine saganaki and taramasalad (fish roe dip). The dip was alright, although the bread they provided was dry/hard. The aubergine saganaki was way too cheesy/creamy, with not much aubergine in it at all. We were then scammed into choosing their “catch of the day”, for 40 euros (about 450g fish). The fish was barely enough for two people and it was served with a small side of potatoes. It was very forgettable overall, and I wouldn’t not order it again. The house wine tasted like water, I also don’t recommend getting that.
Service: The waiting times were extremely long, and the waiter clearly ignored us, while delivering to other tables (multiple people have arrived and left while we were just sitting there…). In the end every table received complimentary dessert and short drink, especially the American tourists. We were left ignored for an additional hour and received nothing. We were having fun, so didn’t mind staying, but after being there for 3 hours we decided to just go ask for the bill and leave.
Overall I see how this place has the potential to be a friendly beachside family restaurant, but I had a bad experience with the service and overpriced food. If you do go, don’t get the...
Read moreWe've been on the road for six weeks. Had a lot of tourist food. You know the stuff is marginal quality and well over priced. One of our goals was to do Rick Steve's philosophy of "Europe through the back door" emersion of the culture. In addition it was a foodie trip. To eat the best local cuisine. This is one of three that we have found so far. I saw the other reviews and told myself this is the place. That said. Specular location on the water. Watch the sunset over the water while eating dinner. Saw anchovies as an starter. As an American, always see them In a can, way over salty. These were fresh fillated light olive oil drizzle. Slight hint of salt from the sea. The red tomato garnish was the perfect compliment. Vine riped of course. The wife picked spaghetti with tuna, it was perfectly cooked with cubed tuna lightly cooked. Not raw, not over cooked to white. Slightly dark still. Just the right flavor. And more of those perfectly vine riped baby tomatoes. I choice the seafood spaghetti. It arrived with many of those perfectly vine riped tomatoes, slightly sweet. Half dozen shrimp with tail and half dozen mussels. Later I found lurking in the deeps of spaghetti a butterfly cut baby lobster...

First of all we were asked if we reserved and sat to the side at an unprepared table. Then we were informed there was a cancellation and we can have a better table in the middle. Here’s the kicker - for the rest of our stay, 40% of the tables were empty.
I’ll get straight to the huge problem - they served me overcooked, dry pieces of indistinguishable meat that was so tough and full of hacked bones and ligaments that I couldn’t find any bit of eatable meat. I complained and sent the whole plate back, although the one potato I tried was good.
‼️They didn’t apologize for the horrendous quality, didn’t show any interest in offering a solution or alternative, they just let me sit there and watch my son eat his meal with my plate empty.
The only thing our waiter said in the end was „it’s not on the bill“.
We’ve been all over Greece, in Naxos, too. This restaurant is an insult to Greek food. Nothing was on par (Mezes were also not comparable to others in a bad...
