Let me start by saying, I am not one for buying crepes when traveling. You know, those ones you find on every Main Street of every big European city. But for some reason tonight I felt like eating one, perhaps I was swayed by my boyfriend who has a sweet tooth like you wouldn’t believe. So we went here. It looked sweet from the outside; there is a big list of different crepes and you make your order with the crepe maker herself, situated outside. There are no prices listed, but a small menu on the wall that if not attentive you can easily miss the sign that says “take away” (prices range from 3.50 - 4€) which are reasonable. The crepe came and I couldn’t eat it after a few bites, it’s crepe to chocolate ratio was like eating spoons of Nutella, which is perhaps more of a personal distaste but could be viewed positively to others. The ice cream was particularly disappointing as it isn’t fresh and rather artificial in flavor. When I went in to pay, expecting the above mentioned price, I was surprised to find out that my excessively sweet plate was excessively priced as well. 7€!! For one crepe. Just down the road I ate freshly caught cuttlefish with wild greens for the same price. I don’t know about their other food, but based on my dissatisfaction prior to the price, the bill reassured my inclination that I had stumbled into a tourist trap and would therefore discourage...
Read moreOrdered a vegan dark chocolate crepe with strawberries and I receive an empty crepe with some drizzled chocolate on top and fruit salad. I tell the waitress that is not what I ordered and she takes it back to the kitchen. I receive the same crepe that was reopened and put dark chocolate inside. She tells me that if I want strawberry’s I have to pay more? What kind of answer is that? First of all if I ordered strawberry’s at the beginning i don’t care about the price of them plus you can’t tell me that some strawberry’s cost more than a fruit salad . Second of all you cannot give me an empty crepe when my partner received a full crepe with Nutella in it.
Besides this, the waitress was not friendly and at a certain point asked us to move tables because they were getting a bit family and needed to sit them , but she asked in a very demanding way and didn’t even help us move the plates .
Sorry , crepes were good but the service was so bad I would...
Read moreAn excellent place for breakfast/ brunch in Naxos. Close to the beach as well as the central strip of the town. Service was straightforward so no issues really. It's situated in a quiet area. Seemed like a few locals frequented this place for coffee and pastries so that's always a good sign.
We had a chocolate and biscuit crepe, and a savoury ham and cheese crepe. Both very good. Was awesome to be able to watch them from our table. Note that the only seating they have is on the outdoor patio - great for beautiful weather. It's a small place but the menu was very extensive. Definitely would frequent this place for breakfast if you are staying in Naxos or Paralia...
