Ammos Grill Room — Restaurant in Municipality of Northern Corfu

Really, really disappointed about this venue. Walked 15 minutes through my Corfu thunderstorm rain to go and book it in person the night before. Booked and specified what table specifically we would like to have. Turned up next evening, admittedly 13 minutes late was told our table had been given away. The waitress told us we were half an hour late, I corrected the waitress on the time and told her we were 13 minutes late. She said she had given our table away but when I pointed out that the table I specified was still free and had the reserved sign on it She gave me a very patronising apology and said sorry it’s been given away. Very disappointed terrible service, but I’ve heard the food is quite good hence why I wanted to book it. I guess just take your luck, do not take what the waitress says for granted and see if you can get a table! When we come back to Corfu we will not be...

Tastiest food we had in Roda! The location of Ammos is really great as you get an undisturbed view of the sea (and sunset if in the evening). The staff are very friendly and the older gentleman told us about the fresh fish on offer today. So I got the calamari as a starter and we shared some incredible pittas (seriously!!) with tzatziki and the spicy cheese. Then we got the gyros which are absolutely amazing value for money being only €4.50 if I remember correctly. These will definitely fill you up so don’t be worried about the low price! The food here is always fantastic. My favourite had to be the Kontosouvli (working on Maria to get the secret recipe).

The gyros and the stuffed burgers are well made and so fresh. The souvlaki is lush and the mixed grill is a meat lovers delight.

Maria (owner), her husband and chef and George (waiter, want to be comedian and dancer) are always accommodating and explain everything so well. They all make you want to just sit and relax while eating and taking in the sea views.

Will I come back? I have for the last couple of years so...
