The Brandy Shop — Restaurant in Municipality of Northern Corfu

We happened across this wonderful little taverna after thunderstorms and lightening. Instead of staying at the hotel we jumped the bus into Roda, and aren't we glad we did. Maria was simply fabulous and the atmosphere was electric. Met some fabulous people and we danced in the rain much to the enjoyment of passers by. Oh, and the chips....absolutely to die for. We would have ordered more but the electricity had gone off after the storms, we were just in luck to get ours before then. Took loads of photographs and looking back at them now, after arriving home yesterday, they just make me smile. The best bar ever! La seconda stella se la guadagna solo per la location interna ed esterna. Volevamo fare aperitivo mettendo però anche qualcosa sotto ai denti: non è stato possibile. Cucina chiusa ma nemmeno un toast, due patatine o uno stuzzichino. Niente perché "la cucina è chiusa", mah. Impossibile ordinare anche altro mostrato sulla lavagnetta all'esterno del locale (ma quindi?!). La proprietaria o cameriera, non si sa, ha tirato fuori un mite sorriso solo ordinando birra. Essendo a stomaco vuoto abbiamo dovuto prendere un misero pacchetto di patatine al super market vicino, che abbiamo poi spudoratamente mangiato accompagnado le due medie. Al momento del conto ha sbagliato più volteil calcolo (per sole due birre) non emettendo lo scontrino. Ah, ha pure sbagliato a dare il resto! Abbiate poche pretese se ci andate! Forse la sera potrebbe andare meglio ma non sarò io a...
