Although on our first visit to Roda we didn’t actually stay at the The Elizabeth but we were recommended to pay them a visit and use the pool facilities by a friend whose family visit it on a regular basis for over 35 years. We can now see why they return so regularly because we were treated like friends the moment we arrived and we were welcomed with open arms. This establishment is run by a lovely family who all muck in and do their various jobs with a smile and professionalism. The good size pool is kept very clean as are the surrounding gardens and patios. The sunbeds are super comfy with thick cushions on and the company name and logo stitched into it to add a touch of quality and they are very well spaced out under the many palm trees scattered around for some mix of sun and shade available. We had a daytime meal each of the 6 times we visited and what we had was reasonably priced served quickly nice and hot and was big portions and we enjoyed the lot. All brought to the table by the lovely Wendy who works tirelessly throughout the day. There’s a good range of drinks available and prices are in keeping with the local bars and restaurants. Each morning we arrived I signed the visitors book at reception and spoke with Eleni and she always made time for a small chat with me. Her Brother is Costas who came and introduced himself to us and was a delight to talk to and was full of fun and information even if he does support Panathiniakos. If we return to Roda we would head straight to Elizabeth for our stay this time because we left feeling content each time and we do feel that we’ve left as friends now. We can see why so Many people return here on a regular basis and I’m sure they feel like it’s home from home. Costas also does an airport shuttle service which must make the booking incredibly smooth and seamless and he told me he gives you an optional small Corfu Town sightseeing detour if you don’t want to head directly to the hotel. He has a 9 seater vehicle but knowing my luck he will arrive at the airport to pick me up on his Honda motorcycle. So Jackie and I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved at the Elizabeth for making us feeling so welcome and comfortable. Keep up the amazing work and effort. Many Thanks...
Read moreMost of what has been written about these apts is true some of it is not. We had 3 apts the one on the bottom floor was the smallest and only had 2 hobs to cook on. My apt was on the first floor and it was great I had a little oven grill with 2 hobs which worked well. A Little kitchen with table & chairs in and a large bedroom with wardrobe, drawers with mirror and 2 bedside drawer cabinets. Plenty of space for clothes The bathroom was clean the only issue is the shower is hand held which can be a pain but that is throughout apts in Corfu not just here. The balcony which gets the sun in the morning was the full length of the building and a lovely view of the sea. I could hear the sea each night and morning that is how close it is. We were there for 1 week and bins were emptied, sheets and towels changed and although Eliza does not speak English she communicates very well and you only need to ask/show her what you need and she will accommodate. Yes the pool is shared with the other hotel but as we were there at the beginning of the season that was not an issue for us. They have a little bar there too which was very reasonable and service with a smile. In saying that alot of places on the front have a pool and allow you in so being near a pool should not be a problem. It's a 5 min walk to town and it was dark coming from back but I dont remember it being dark at the apts there are switches on the wall at the bottom to light the stairs and hallway so getting to my apt was not an issue!! Free wifi was great but only worked downstairs for me. My son was in the apt next to me and he got wifi all the time! Overall we loved these apts and Eliza and her husband made us very comfortable...
Read moreGot back a week or so ago from yet another fantastic stay at the Elizabeth Apartments. Having been coming here for years we are obviously biased but can’t recommend them highly enough. The only problem is that when people come for the first time and see for themselves how fab the place is they get hooked so it’s getting harder to get a room ourselves! It was great to catch up with some old faces and meet some new ones too. The family are all lovely and do their utmost to ensure your holiday is as good as it can be - we were celebrating a ruby wedding anniversary and they set aside an area for us to decorate and celebrate and even cut fresh flowers from the gardens to add that finishing touch! We booked direct with the Elizabeth Apartments which included Breakfast, transfer to and from the airport, pool towels and air conditioning. The buffet style breakfast included fruit, yoghurt, salad, meats, cheese and olives and fresh bread to make toast if you wished. The hot breakfast includes eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns and beans, all with fresh tea, coffee, orange and apple juice on tap. Most of the fruit and vegetables are homegrown by the family within the grounds of the apartments and included in the breakfast, lunch and dinner menu which makes your meals the freshest ever !!! If you want to enjoy the most relaxing holiday ever you have to try the Elizabeth Apartments as you will never be disappointed, their success is purely down to the level of service provided by the family and staff who always go the extra mile to ensure their clients have everything they need. Thoroughly...
