When you find yourself in the north west corner of Corfu, and visit the village of Arillas, make a special effort to stop for Coffee and a Pastry at the Arillas Bakery.
Maria and Nikos are just wonderful, and made every morning, when I strolled down to the bakery exactly what I needed.
Sit and enjoy a morning coffee with an Apple Danish (Apple Pie) as I did for every day of our holiday, and fell ready to make the most of your time on the Island of Corfu.
There are savoury pastries alongside the sweet, and for sure the Cheese and Ham Pie, (there are plenty more) makes for a delicious lunchtime snack, always assuming it makes it to lunchtime...
Maria went to great lengths when I suggested I needed an egg free (imagine) cake for my wife's birthday, and the result was a resounding success.
