A unique quality bar and restaurant. Owners Maria and Spiros have turned this bar into an amazing establishment. Through tasteful design they have furnished the bar using their own imaginative creations, from the menus to the lighting everything has a homemade feel as well as using specifically chosen music they have created a relaxed calm atmosphere complimented by the picturesque surroundings of Canal D'Amour.
They have a wide variety of drinks to choose from including Milkshakes, Cocktails, Beer, Wine, Liquor, and Soft drinks. Cocktails are made using real fruits as well as various flavorings, both Maria and Spiros are qualified bartenders with a massive array of skills in cocktail making, with so many to choose from you will find something to suit your taste. They use name brand alcohol so you always get the best quality.
The food is delicious and always tastes so fresh, with traditional Greek dishes and international cuisine there is again something for everyone with so much to choose from. The bar and table service is very attentive, Manos and the waiting staff are always proactive and want to make sure you have everything you need.
As a customer you have access to the bars swimming pool, sunbeds on the cliff edge, various seating such as creative hammocks and inflatable swinging beds.
They also run the apartments on the same plot called 'Bertos on the Beach' where we stay each year, which is a perfect place to stay with amazing sea views.
I would always recommend D'Amour Beach Bar-Restaurant to anyone visiting Corfu, it is one the most friendly environments with excellent service. Maria, Spiros, Manos and the team can't do enough to make sure you feel welcomed and that you...
Read moreLovely location for a beach bar. Visited for an evening meal and some cocktails. The evening view out from the restaurant as the sun goes down is beautiful.
Background music is fairly loud but not objectionable and was some really cool tunes. Adds to the beach bar vibe.
Cocktails and soft drinks were ordered and then main meal ordered shortly after. The drinks arrived in good time and were pretty good. I had a long island and my wife ordered a spritz which was excellent.
The food took an age to arrive, around an hour even though the restaurant was not that busy. We'd ordered salad, souvlaki and nachos with cheese so not a difficult order at all. When it arrived the salad was pretty good, the souvlaki was very average with dry chicken. The nachos with cheese were grim. The cheese being the bright orange cheese "sauce" you find in cinemas in the UK that doesn't taste of cheese at all. Very poor quality.
Staff weren't interested in taking another round of drink orders either during our visit.
Overall, a disappointing experience. I suspect that if you're a bikini clad twenty something then your experience may differ.
We moved onto another restaurant for pudding and more drinks and that was excellent in comparison. The 2nd restaurant was The...
Read moreWe walked past this restaurant and were immediately approached by staff trying very aggressively to get us to eat there. We were not interested and continued walking without engaging, as this kind of pushy behavior is something we generally avoid.
What truly shocked and disappointed us, however, was what happened next: after we passed by, we heard racist remarks directed at us from behind – clearly from a member of staff. This was deeply upsetting and completely unacceptable.
We love Greece, and this is our first time visiting Corfu. We had many positive experiences, but this moment was painful and left a lasting impression. If this is how some locals treat visitors who “don’t look like them,” it makes us question whether we would want to return.
The man responsible was an older gentleman who stood at the entrance, clearly trying to attract guests. Someone of his age should know better – he represents not only the restaurant but the hospitality of the island as a whole. He failed on both fronts.
Very, very disappointed. We sincerely hope the management takes a hard look at who they let represent...
