Εδέμ — Restaurant in Municipality of Platanias

You know when yiu are walking down a strip and you feel pressured to go into every restaurant...... Well this is not one of them, we were looking at the menu and the fantastic Julie approached us, told us to take our time and if we see something we liked them hop on in. She then left us to decide for ourselves.

A real difference from what we are used to.

We did go in for food and we are so glad we did (currently sitting on our third visit).

Very friendly staff, really chilled vibe and the food is brilliant. Stuffed burger is excellent, chicken from the grill, cheese burger for the little one and carbonara for my wife.

You absolutely MUST try the garlic bread, I'm not a fan of garlic bread but my wife is and she lives the one served here, it has peppers in it.

Inexpensive and great quality food.

We have 5 days left on our holiday and we will be back here at least once.

On our fourth trip here we noticed that you can see a face that looks like cleopatra in the rock face (fourth photo)

Service was great, people welcoming,. wonderful lady waited our table. This was first and so far only restaurant we went to after arriving to Kolymbari. However we got food poisoning. We've ordered mussles and fried calamari, and I'm positive it is from mussles as they tasted bitter which I asked about and was told it has to be anis. We didn't finish the mussles due to the bitterness,, and fell sick with food poisoning the following day.

Response to the owner: the right response would be to apologize. Luckily my six months old didn't eat anything due to her age. Both me and my husband fell sick and it quite literally ruined our first family vacation with the baby, as we had doctor appointments in house and Platanias, received medication, and all of this ordeal with a six months old! Shame on you. You can ask the waitress, a wonderful lady from Ohio, that we asked about the bitter taste of the mussles to the point that we (luckily in retrospect) couldn't finish more than half...

Walking to the toilet, I accidentally noticed how the staff was rinsing their fingers in a decanter of wine, which was later brought to us. When we was looking for a menu, a man told that they have special fish dish priced as 10€, which is not listed in menu. However, on the bill it was calculated as 18. Vegetables were cold. The juice from the lime did not come out and I had to pick it with a fork. The cut was dry, which means that this lime was cut a long time ago. Fish was actually not bad for 10€. But for 18 we got same dish MUCH tastier and more elegant EVERYWHERE. The worst experience of the...
