I started at the beach, after which a waiter came fairly quickly once I settled. After a couple of hours of Noone asking me if I wanted anything, I kept trying to get their attention but was ignored. Then later in the afternoon I went inside for a bite. Food came quickly 👍 I even got some bread that I did not order. Very nice. After my meal I asked if I could pay, but got some Greek dessert instead (no bill), also very attentive. After trying to get their attention again, but no one looking my way even though they walked straight past me and I looked them in the eye the entire time. Okay, no problem, then I go to the register myself. When they finally gave me the receipt, it showed that I had to pay for the bread, which I did not ask for and did not eat. But in the end took it from the receipt, without any communication from them to me. Bad service, I know they probably work very hard, but this is not how you treat a customer. Very sad to end my holiday like this. Other waiters at restaurants have...
Read moreI have eaten there 5 times. Different dish each time. The portions are awesome. I was always filled with 1 main dish. On the last day there were 2 items I haven't tried but wanted to, so I was there much longer and I was basically so full that I rolled home instead of walking.
The food selection is huge, my favourite was the spagetti with octopus. The only issue my brother had that they do not remove the black vein of the shrimp/prawn. It is not that hard to remove, you just have to wait a little, while you can touch it.
After each session I got a free dessert, which I found the best out of the places I tried on Crete. And the last day I got Raki as well (That was also part of it why I chose them over the other places).
I was also greeted with a smile by two greek godesses each time, so naturally i returned several times.
The place is on the beach so the view is marvelous and it was nice to do some sun bathing after the meal and swimming a...
Read moreWe got some drinks and a pair of loungers to go on the beach for the morning, and then went in to the restaurant to have lunch. There was a bit of a wait, but it was super busy so it was to be expected (and also we’ve realised this is pretty standard in Greece, maybe it’s us brits who are rushing!). Everything was delicious- we had a shrimp salad, pork gyros, spaghetti and skewered swordfish. A little bit of a wait for the bill (again, super busy), but the waitress came out with some dessert for free.
Would have loved if there was a dairy free milk alternative, as I was gasping for a coffee, but that’s hit and miss in the UK as well so I’ve come to expect it. All in all a lovely lunch! Also appreciate that staff were nice to the cats that joined us for our meal, we are a family of animal lovers so are always conscious how staff treat the local animals! (Also so happens the only photo I took was of some...
