Full five stars - absolutely no doubts. A true gem, standing out from the other restaurants in this area!
We actually wanted to eat elsewhere, but then we would have missed this place.... shame! Family operated with really nice staff. Speaking English, flawless service, makes you totally welcome at their place.
Starter with addictive bread and dips. Olives great! Fried veggies - fresh, tasty, crispy! An amazing snack! Steamed mussels - obviously fresh from the sea, the only downside was the broth, which I can't describe what they put into it. Garlic, yes, but the rest stays a mystery to me. Kids wife and even the stray cat liked it. Me not that much. Will not effect a true 5-star experience. Fried fish - was the sensation of the day! Four fished fried to perfection. Crispy outside and mouth melting tender inside. What a delight! The four of us (and the cat) reverently inhaled them! A must-try! Complimentary dessert - flan with caramel sauce. First I was a bit sceptical..... but after the first bite - lord in heaven, what a surprise: sooo light, almost without texture at all, not like those heavy puddings, melting in your mouth, disappearing with the touch of your tongue, leaving this amazing taste in your mouth, not too intense, but gentle and light. Best desert of all the restaurants we tried so far. I almost ate the spoon as well :D
This place gets my full satisfaction. Highly...
Read moreMy wife and I were at the beach in Kolimbari and decided to get a bite to eat. We heard a Midwest accent greet us as we were walking down the beachfront and we decided that we would eat at that particular restaurant and I'm so glad we did!!!
Julie was incredibly friendly and sat us at our table, closest to the beach. She was very helpful with our menu choices as well. We only came for wine and starters, but ended up having two delicious meals all because of Jules excellent suggestions.
Complimentary bread, dips and olives started our meal. My wife ordered the moussaka and I ordered the lamb tsigariasto. Both were fantastic!!! The lamb was so tender that it literally fell off the bone. I tried my wife's moussaka and it was divine!!! Our dessert was a nice caramel flan and of course, Raki!!!
As far as the atmosphere, we were on the patio at a restaurant, on the beach, with a nice wind blowing on the Aegean sea...need I say more.
In conclusion I would like to thank Jules. If it wasn't for her, we may not have chosen that restaurant, we may not have ordered the incredible meals that we had and we definitely would not had such a wonderful dining experience. If the owner happens to read this, GIVE JULIE A RAISE, she definitely deserves it. I have to give this establishment a rare 10...
Read morePretty bad experience. Got cold coffee instead a hot one. Didn’t bring my own coffee, my friend gave it to me, 2 milk shakes. I did not order a frappe, ordered a coffee, they just decided to bring a cold one without asking which coffee I wanted. The dish was really bad. Probably most disgusting thing I tasted, I fed my squid with spinach to the cats. It’s cool to answer in Greek to the review, I don’t speak that language, so that was nice to write in the language that only Greece speaks and not the tourists who mostly come to your cafe. Well, it’s probably my experience but the thing is, When I said that it wasn’t great and my experience wasn’t good, manager just said “OK” and didn’t do anything to fix it. I didn’t treat no one like slaves and didn’t talk that way to anyone. Seems like you didn’t have that many people that day at the restaurant, so I wouldn’t be surprised if that seafood was frozen for a long time before you microwaved it and served it. That spinach looked and tasted like seaweed Person who I was with, got cold mash potatoes. I just write an honest review of my experience. But if you want to go that route, we can do that too. “Great and professional” response !!!!...
