I made a brave choice - I chose the cottage pie in a foreign land. Now a cottage pie could end up on your plate like an inedible 9kN concrete block or like a Tennessee swamp. My late mum had perfected the art, despite post war rationing and a work schedule that would make a Millenial complain on Facebook. The plate arrived with a spoon. My mum would have snatched that away in order to continue our education with the proper way to use cutlery. I decided to continue with my bravery and this novel approach (sorry, Mum). The crust of potato broke crisply, revealing a moist and steaming interior and an aroma wafted up that instantly took me back to 1964 in rural Dorset, an old solid fuel Aga and my mum. Tears rolled down my cheeks as I wolfed mouthful after mouthful in a sort of quasi religious trance, mixed with a semi erotic experience. It was perfect. No - better than perfect. My wife looked on open mouthed whilst she frantically tried to check our travel insurance details, specifically the medical small print but she needn’t have worried as I was ecstatic and not having a stroke. The draught IPA wasn’t bad either. Next time I think I might try the steak...
Read moreAbsolute killer restaurant. The food was spectacular!!! We had a Greek Salad for a starter, I had the Lambs liver with bacon, grilled onions and mash with assorted veg. My wife had the Pork Stifado, Her mother had sea bass and her father had a beef stir fry. We all finished with Raki and a nice dessert. No complaints from any of us it was all delicious!!!
The restaurant interior was really rad!!! A Non traditional setting with a cool vibe. As soon as I saw a Misfits fiend club hat on the lantern, I knew I was at the right place.
The view from the balcony where we ate was absolutely breathtaking around sundown. You could smell the Aegean sea as you watched the waves in hypnotic amazement and look at small uninhabited islands to your left.
The entire staff was incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. I met the owner (who was also the owner of the Misfits fiend club cap) and was one helluva guy.
In conclusion, I highly recommend this awesome establishment!!! 9...

We explored a few nearby restaurants but, based on past experiences, we were hesitant to choose one located right on the seafront. We asked the manager of our apartment for recommendations, and while she listed a few options, she advised us not to visit this particular restaurant.
Despite the warning, we decided to give it a try—and we’re so glad we did!
The lady who served us was incredibly kind and attentive. During our second visit, we had a short conversation and discovered that she was actually the owner of the restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, and we were so impressed that we returned two more times during our stay.
I can honestly say this was the best restaurant we ate at during our holiday in Crete. Don’t miss out—give it a try. You...
