We came here based on a recommendation and it did not disappoint at all. We had lunch twice and everything was amazing.
The first time I ordered the lamb shank – slow cooked, tender, and full of incredible flavor and herbs. Honestly, I usually don’t like lamb, but this one completely surprised me – it tasted so delicate, almost like chicken or duck, absolutely delicious with oven-baked potatoes. My boyfriend had the pork steak on the bone, grilled perfectly, and he really enjoyed it.
The second time, I tried the grilled lamb chops / cutlets – very good as well, with caramelized onion gravy, although if I come back I would still go for the lamb shank because it was simply unforgettable. My boyfriend had the chicken with wild rice and orange sauce, which was also very tasty and unique.
We also received a traditional dessert with ice cream on the house the first time, which was such a lovely gesture.
The view from the terrace is stunning, right by the sea, and the atmosphere is calm and peaceful – not crowded at all. Prices are medium to high, but the quality makes it absolutely worth it.
The owners, two brothers, are very friendly and welcoming – congratulations to them for creating such a wonderful place! 🌊
Definitely a spot we would love to return to and try more of their...
Read moreFirst time visiting The Wave was Thursday 5th of August. We were 4 guests together. We had a Greek salad, a good salad (is it possible to fail with greek salad?), stuffed wine leaves, cheese saganaki. Both were good. Then we ordered two barbecue burgers and two shrimpdishes as main courses. The burgers in itself was good, but the so-called home-made barbecue sauce was not a barbecue sauce at all. It was Ajvar! And the peppers used to make the ajvar wasn't roasted, it was watery and very bland. When l asked for barbecue sauce, the waiter pretended to not understand what l meant, and finally asked if l wanted something more spicy. When l said yes, he returned with a spicy sweet and sour sauce and a bottle of tabasco. I would have preferred it if they would have told me that they were out of barbecue sauce instead of avoiding the problem. The shrimps were very soft in the flesh, and didn't come with fresh coriander as the meny said. They had been laying somewhere to long. And l do know what fresh seafood tastes! I do understand that when a restaurant is fully booked, not everything will go as planned, but at least l expect some honesty from the kitchen. I do not think that I...
Read moreI came here twice, especially because it's right in front of my amazing hotel Oliva, the first time was on the first day after my flight, and now on day 7 it's still my fav restaurant out of all of the ones I went to! The food was amazing (I had Greek salad + rainbow purée fish, perhaps turbot, but I so highly recommend it, it's SO delicious & beautifully presented) prices are relatively cheap but quantity aren't enormous like in some restaurants here. And omg cheap wine for 14€ for amazing Sauvignon wine (first white wine on the list) with a citrusy yet refreshing taste to it. And I tried to come by so many markets to find this wine I can't, so I'm just here to confirm what the waiter told me, it's nowhere to be found 👁️👄👁️ And the service is heartwarming and amazing as well. I hope to see this gem busi-er than it is. I came back today for the free beds I get by their restaurant and I get served immideatly, just buy a cocktail (strawberry frozen daiquiri is quite good!) And you won't have to move. The only thing is the ocean isn't the best here but it's very warm. Not very crowdy which is nice compared to the popular beaches who try to rip...
