Fantastic lunch in a beautiful setting

I had lunch today at Magma Restaurant, located right by Dyo Suites in Rethymno, and it was a great experience from start to finish. The place is stylish and relaxed, with a modern interior and tropical touches that make it feel both upscale and welcoming.

The food really impressed me. We ordered a nice variety of dishes: • Crispy fried chicken bites served with lemon – perfectly golden and juicy. • Two types of flatbread pizza – one with creamy cheese, cherry tomatoes, and basil, the other with tangy tomato and feta. Both had excellent crusts and great balance of flavors. • Potato wedges with a rich, herby dipping sauce – well-seasoned and crispy outside, soft inside. • Charcuterie platter with salami, ham, nuts, cheeses (feta, blue, hard cheeses), dried fruits, and breadsticks – a generous and delicious spread, ideal for sharing.

Portions were good and presentation was spot on, served on black slate trays that elevated the experience. Service was friendly and fast, even during lunch hours.

A must visit!

This smaller restaurant is a place I hoped we found earlier in our trip so we had time to visit it more!

The staff greeted us with big smiles and placed us on a table with a great view over the ocean and the sunset.

Drinks were the best I've had in Crete!

We shared the spring rolls as a starter it was great, allot of flavour from the spinach accompanied with the nice sauce.

For mains my fiance ordered the Risotto with truffles. She loved it :)

I ordered the organic pork strip steak and it was lovely. Marinated for 48h made it into a bomb of flavours!

Only thing to complain about was that the staff was hoovering us a little bit. Might be because it was a slow...
