Skrik | the good hood spot — Restaurant in Municipality of Rethymnon

Stumbled across this little café and it turned out to be the perfect mid-day stop. I had a cappuccino freddo and an espresso macchiato, both were excellent. The coffee was brewed just right, the milk was smooth and balanced, and the cappuccino was actually a cappuccino (not just a latte / too much milk).

The vibe was great: sitting at a table along the street with a nice view, friendly people passing by, and some really good Greek house music playing in the background. It had just the right mix of energy and calm. The staff were super friendly and went out of their way to make sure everything was just right, and the place was spotless.

Self service. Tables on the street ( pedestrian zone) Coffee very nice but not "the best". Charakterful cafe with wooden bar. Not so good was the pistaciocake.... it was just a " green-(velvet)cake. No pistacioflavour or pieces recognizable. Sorry. Nice sandwiches and other cakes/muffins. Good pricelevel. We return ( the 2 stars less are for the green dyed cake and the tablesituation outside. But if they adjust the cake, it will be a good 4...
