Vasiliki Kouzina — Restaurant in Municipality of Rethymnon

I came to this restaurant with high hopes and an empty stomach. I left with regrets… and an emergency relationship with my toilet that lasted for days.

The food may have looked decent, but somewhere between the appetizer and the main course, something sinister was brewing. By midnight, my stomach started a revolution. The next few days? Let’s just say I became a full-time resident of the bathroom. If there were loyalty points for toilet visits, I’d be a platinum member.

Service was friendly — maybe too friendly with bacteria. Ambience was warm — as was the fever I got afterward. If you’re into food roulette, this place is a gamble you won’t forget.

Vasiliki Kouzina is a small restaurant on foot of the fortress. They have a terrace beautiful overlooking the sea. And some wind to refresh.... The moussaka and pastitio is made fresh and staff more than friendly! Prices are very moderate. We ordered some tzatziki too and one of the best housewines we’ve had in Crete. The lady was extremely nice and we where told food couldn't be made for 20 mins which was fine but after being served drinks we were told it was an hr for food and then after telling her we would just pay for the drinks I was told the cash machine was broken so I asked for the location of a FREE atm which I was taken to that then charged €4 for a €40 withdrawal just...
