Εστιατοριο Σαν Άλλοτε — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

From the moment we arrived at San Allote in Lalysos, we knew we were somewhere special. We visited Rhodes for just a week, and this was the only restaurant we loved so much that we came back twice!

We have a 5-year-old autistic son, and the way the team accommodated him was nothing short of heartwarming. The energy, the atmosphere, and the genuine kindness from everyone made us feel completely at home. Special thanks to Dimitria who runs this place with her husband the chef and also to Alexandra for their warm hospitality, you truly made our visit so memorable.

The food? Absolutely incredible. On our first visit, we ordered starters and mains that caught our eye, kleftiko, souvlaki and the halloumi (chefs kiss) and every bite was perfection. (Even the kids pizza was done superbly) The second time, we decided to try the meze (a tapas-style selection), and it was an explosion of flavours we’ll never forget. Trying around 6 dishes between the 2 of us whilst my son opted for his favourite!

We’re so sad to be leaving Rhodes, but San Allote will forever be a highlight of our trip. That authentic family atmosphere, paired with phenomenal food and exceptional service, is exactly why we’ll be back.

Want to give the biggest recommendation possible for San Allote Restaurant in Ialysos. Please go and visit on your holiday and I promise you won't regret it...it was by far the best food of our holiday (we visited twice).

We could not have asked for a better host in Dimitra (San Allote owned by Dimitra and Nikos-Chef). She is so personable, vibrant and warm. She helped us choose some dishes...my biggest advice would be to order meze so you get to try lots of the delicious offering. Both times we tried different things such as Stidafo, Prawns in Ouzo Cream, Kebab, Lamb, pork, halloumi and vegetarian options too...the amount of flavour packed into all dishes was incredible. All piping hot and service was not rushed at all. The restaurant was busy both times so I'd advise a reservation-see details below. You'll see it's full of locals too-always a positive!

Amazing warm welcome from Dmitra, seated quickly and order taken following some advice from our host. Place had a good atmosphere, not the biggest in Lalyssos, but made up for it with the welcome and engaging serving team. Feta and honey with Pomegranate sauce was really tasty, creamy Feta amd sweet honey - pomegranate didn't really add anything though. Greek salad was really tasty and fresh, you could tell they took time to chop the tomatoes, cucumber, greens - nice eatable forkfull. Chicken gyros with fries, tzatziki and pitta was one of the best we'd eaten this week. Tender and flavoursome thinly sliced chicken and amazing tzatziki. Dessert was a slab of baklava, with lovely ice cream. Both complimented each other really well. The baklava was the best we'd eaten on holiday. Super friendly hosts and great food. Highly...
