Alkionis Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

During our trip to Rhodes in April this was our go to spot for some grub as it was reasonably priced, they had a wide selection of food and drink, the staff were friendly and it was a very pleasant atmosphere. There was plenty of seating and it wasn’t busy at the time of year we went but I’d imagine this place being bouncing during peak season. It caters for all ages with games and activities for the kids, TV’s all around for all your sporting desires. Everything was clean and modern and we felt comfortable. If I was reviewing this solely on the food then a star or 2 would be chopped off. Despite it being affordable, it certainly wasn’t the best food we had on our trip. The portions were large and most of the dishes were fine but nothing particularly special. The boa buns were certainly not airy and were more on the dense side. The flavours of the fish filling were okay. Sweet potato fries were nice. I had a salad one day which was lovely but it was absolutely enormous! It was a workout to get it finished! My wife enjoyed her full English breakfast one morning (although overloaded with beans). I ordered the ribs but they weren’t that tasty and there wasn’t as much meat on the bone as I hoped. I also ordered something similar to nachos with different crisps but it turned out to be a complete mess! The crisps weren’t nice and the melted cheese felt so artificial. I couldn’t finish it! Don't let the name of the place put you off. I'm not massively into sports, and I enjoyed it here. It's big, they have TV screens all over the place (like 30/40 of the things!) bit they show a mixture of sports, news, and kids stuff, and the volume is down on all of them with subtitles for those that care. They are also ready to ignore if you are in a group.

Went there with two families, 4 kids under 10. The kids were happy watching silent cartoons giving a very relaxed time for adult conversation.

Amazing cocktail menu (over a hundred I think!!) food was well priced based on local comparisons, and was misleading... A Greek mixed plate cost about €10, but the plate was a foot square and was enough to eat for two days: don't get a starter like we all did!!! The food was really good as well. Kids menu was pretty basic but they were willing to give smaller versions of adult meals.

Great service even though it was so big and really busy; you just had to catch their eye and they'd be with you in minutes. Plus they were set up to split bills between families / groups at the same tables.

Another nice feature was a refreshing mist pumped over the tables at the front of the restaurant. Given the hot days, this was a really nice addition even if only a few tables benefit from it.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING !!!

We visited Lalysoss last year and didn't get chance to pop in here but we came back last week and went in for a meal. The staff are fantastic, so friendly and accommodating. The place is immaculate and literally perfect.

The children were kept entertained with the outside play area and bouncy castle and the older ones kept occupied with the PS5 whilst we waited for food.

The menu is massive, there is something for everyone and every dietary requirement. We had drinks first and a variety of options there from standard drinks to cocktails and smoothies. The Frozen pina colada was super yummy 😋. We were given a snack of tortilla chips with our drinks which was a nice touch.

Our food arrived and WOW!!! The portions were generous and I have to say it was one of the freshest, tastiest burgers ever.... we were stuffed. After our meal we stayed for another couple of drinks whilst the children played and more little snacks were brought with each ... we had to ask the waitress to stop feeding us 🤣🤣 we were treated so well and the establishment is just perfect.

I wish we had come in last year so we could have enjoyed it again this year.

If we come back next year, we will definitely be coming in...
