Came here for a drink with my wife whilst my 3 year old daughter played in the play area and wish we hadn't. We ordered our drinks (a beer and a water) (we were going to order cocktails later) and the waitress pulled her face at the order. She said is your daughter not having a drink and but she had just had a big drink with her meal so we were going to order her one later. She went over to the manager and after 5/10 mins of heated discussions with the waitress and then the manager who were very rude and arragant going on about overheads and for me to try another bar down the road instead, it turned out our first drinks did not meet the minimum spend for her to play on the play area. There are no signs stating this. If my daughter was not already playing I would have left. The bar and play area was empty and I am not surprised why. I had to choose a more expensive cocktail instead of a beer which eventually calmed the situation. We were going to stay for longer and have more drinks but left after one..we would have also come in again during our holiday but not anymore. There are plenty of other friendly bars in pefkos and wish I would have read the numerous other negative reviews about the rude owners on trip advisor...
Read moreGreat looking place and great staff only draw back was we had 4 drinks each gin and tonics and metaxa and lemonade then walked out virtually sober after being relieved of €52!!! Drinks here are severely watered down!!! We dont make a point of going out to 'hammered' but you should feel the effects of 4 shorts of gin and on an empty stomack!! Walked across the road to the other bar (I won't mention) 2 cocktails each in there and you could tell in 10 mins they were proper measures!! Really shame as the bar always looked good but not many in........now we know why!! Stick to bottled beer there and should get what you pay for then. Sorry Angel but you can do...
Read moreI first visited the Angel Bar around six years ago and the staff were super friendly and the manager was brilliant and engaging and we have been back five years in a row and every year we visit, they have collectively become less engaged and interested/enthusiastic. I am not expecting hand stands and cartwheels from everyone, but the last time we visited (last week), it felt as if we walked in and dragged in dog muck with us. At the end of the day, we are one of millions of people they see day in and day out, and holiday makers will always want a beer or a cocktail. But the lack of bums on seats should be a good indication to the staff that something...
