Ideal Snack Bar & Cafeteria — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

Well what can I say? This place was basically mine and my partners second home for most of our holiday! Tasos was absolutely outstanding, so was Christo behind the bar and the “big boss” as we were told he was called. 😂 (I hope I’ve spelt the names correctly!😬) The cocktails were to die for. Non stop incredible service all night, every night.

The food was the best we had in Rhodes and I mean, better than the old town! Tasos was even so kind to let us take some food away back to our room as we were exhausted and wanted a night in.

I usually take a lot photos of food and site seeing on holiday but the food this time, was so delicious, I’d devoured it before I’d even thought of taking a photo.

Absolute 5 star service ⭐️ Anything we asked about traditional Greek food, desserts, local beers or anything were always answered and we even got some sneaky treats 🤫

Please please, if you’re staying in Rhodes, even if you’re not, please come visit these guys. They do an amazing job and deserve all the support! ❤️

Absolutely amazing place! Me and my girlfriend visited on our first evening in ixia. After only getting to our hotel at about 8pm. incredibly welcoming staff here. All throughout service making little non invasive jokes. They offered help with the menu which was great and made us feel very secure as a young couple on holiday especially on our first night. Food was incredible and they want to cater to your taste will ask you questions like how spicy do you like it etc. When we paid the bill we spoke to the guy sorting our bill for a good 15/20 minutes (we think his name was stasha or Tasha?) as he was directing us to old town Rhodes and giving us other ideas for our holiday. He also directed us to his cousins restaurant Punto point in old town. Warned us of the scams in old town and told us his cousin would look after us (which he did) Personally I get a little stressed going abroad to unfamiliar countrys but the guy we spoke to made me feel very relaxed and welcome! We first found this place on google maps, just looking for a quick bite to eat after arriving at our hotel. Intrigued by the tales of the legendary “Tasos” we decided to check it out. As of writing this we have visited a total of 5 times over the course of our 1 week trip. Dinner, lunch, drinks and desert. We have listened to the aforementioned legend dj us through the evening, watched soccer, tennis as well as playing cards. In many ways Ideal became our safe haven throughout our stay on Rhodes. Tasos lives up to his internet hype and then some. He is customer satisfaction incarnate and the ‘ideal’ waiter. Very proud of the food he serves and takes great care in giving recommendations regarding the menu.

For anyone considering stopping by Ideal, please do. You might like it, you might love it. But I know for sure Tasos will try his very best to make sure you leave with a smile on your face.
