I will give my most sincere and open opinion about my experience at this hotel, highlighting both the positive and negative aspects. Let's start with the good things!
POSITIVE POINTS: The hotel is reasonably close to the airport, and we can easily take a direct bus there. It is also near several restaurants and convenient stores, which can be very handy for anything we might need. The room is of a good size, and the double bed is excellent with a super comfortable mattress. It also has a nice balcony with a view of the pool and the sea. The beach is right in front of the hotel with sun loungers available, unlike the beach next door where you have to pay The receptionists, like Ms. Jota and another gentleman whose name I forgot, are very friendly and helpful, as is Elfi, the lady from the pool bar. The pool is also very good, with a maximum depth of 3.50 meters.
NEGATIVE POINTS:
As a young person, I am not very demanding since I consider myself quite flexible, but there are some things to reflect on.
The bathroom is not very good, the shower is very small, and it's hard to move around without knocking over our hygiene products. If you are a couple and want to shower together, forget it because there is literally no space, it’s small and cramped. They also do not provide shower gel, only shampoo, so you end up washing with shampoo on your body. The room also does not offer a kettle for making tea or coffee, which didn’t matter to me since I had breakfast included.
The pool closes early at 6 PM, it could close at 7 or even 8 PM to make the most of the sun and good weather.
The internet could be better as it has some issues.
Despite bus stops being near the hotel, the buses that pass by are often full and don’t stop at the stops. I recommend waking up early to catch the bus if you want to see the center of Rhodes. If you want to rent a car or a scooter, that’s also possible and quite affordable.
As for crosswalks, I don’t know why, but drivers there don’t feel obligated to stop. If you don’t step into the road, they won’t stop, and even if you do, you have to be careful when crossing.
I was on a half-board stay (breakfast & dinner). The breakfast, although a safe and OK positive, was limited. It had bread, croissants, cheese, ham, eggs, butter, and 'Nutella.' Some of those croissants were hard due to exposure time, which is normal. Besides that, the breakfast was also targeted at the British people: beans, mushrooms, bacon, sausage – things they eat which I am not a fan of at all.
As for dinner, I would say it is below what Greek food is, one of the best cuisines in the world. Unfortunately, it left a lot to be desired. The food was also limited, and there wasn’t much choice. Always two types of meat, like turkey and pork, and a fish – that’s it. There was also pasta that varied according to the day, but even that was disappointing, with only two days where I had a good cream-based pasta. Other than that, it was disappointing. There were dishes that seemed like leftovers from lunch or the day before. They weren’t very tasty, not well-seasoned, and I was unfortunately disappointed.
OVERALL: Given the quality-price ratio, I can't complain much as I stayed for a week and overall, it was pleasant+ staying. The main disappointment was the dinner. However, it was an overall pleasant experience. I would give it a 3 if I had to rate it. Would I return to the hotel? Most...
Read moreThis is going to be a long review and also one full of mixed feelings as even after returning home two days ago I am unsure whether I would recommend the hotel or not.|Firstly, let me start by saying, I have read all the reviews, both good and bad and the majority of the 'bad' reviews are completely unfounded. Yes the road that separates the hotel from the beach is a busy one...is it a problem? Absolutely not, there is a zebra crossing and it never took us more than 30 seconds to cross. Secondly, the all inclusive 'problems' don't exist, I very nearly cancelled on more than one occasion after reading the reviews, its very simple and explained upon arrival. Lots of different drinks available, including cocktails and not difficult to understand...do not let these two reasons put you off.||Lets get my negatives out the way first. The Shower in the room, is powerful enough but the shower curtain not adequate, it wasn't long enough to reach the floor, so any water on the curtain runs off and it is 50/50 whether it ends up in the shower tray or on the bathroom floor, this wasn't just my bulky frame it was the same for my two sons and they are about 8 stone wet through! At the end of our shower time, 3 towels around the tray weren't enough to soak up the escaping water. Other than that the room was perfectly adequate for a 3* resort, with the balcony, albeit snug, providing superb views and a nice space to relax. The swimming pool, spotlessly clean and plenty of space for lounging around it. Wheres the problem? The unnecessary depth, there is a small part of the pool that has a 1.5m depth which then slopes off to 2m, deeper than the average person, it then inexplicably becomes 3.5m at its deepest point, now unless Tom Daley goes there for warm weather training this is too deep and isn't ideal for a leisurely swim.||The food, whilst not always to my taste, it was well cooked, plentiful and a good temperature. The desserts were quite repetitive but nice all the same. The bar near the pool was well stocked, the barman in the evening, as per previous reviews was a credit to the hotel and always there to greet you with a smile. Some entertainment in the evenings on selected days, this again isn't mentioned on previous reviews. The reception staff were always helpful and never more so on the day of check out, we explained we had an evening flight so he said keep the wrist bands and drinks tokens until mid afternoon and use the courtesy room to freshen up...couldn't ask more.||In summary, if you want a 'budget' all inclusive resort you can do a lot worse than this, I think they can improve on their offerings without it stopping being a budget hotel but still didn't ruin the holiday, far...
Read moreWe stayed in July for two weeks all inclusive. When we arrived we were told we had been upgraded to a sea view room. The room was okay but had 3 beds squeezed in, one wardrobe with 6 hangers and two drawers so 2 of us had nowhere to unpack. After 2 days we were asked to move rooms and were given a family room which was at the back but much bigger so we could finally all unpack properly. If there are more than 2 of you definitely pay for a family room. Room was cleaned daily and couldn’t fault the cleaners. Pool area was lovely and no problem ever getting a sunbed. As we went all inclusive we ate at the hotel to begin with, breakfast was the usual stuff, nothing cooked fresh though. Lunch and dinner was the same, every single day, every, single, day so we ate out a lot in the evenings just to get some variety. Kids offerings were spaghetti bolognese or chips and nothing else, every single day. Adults had chicken, pork, fish, potatoes and veg every day, twice a day. The snack bar was a joke, leftover ham and cheese rolls and stone cold chips in the morning and leftover wraps from lunch in the afternoon, occasionally covered in ants. Very, very poor food. The drinks in the day were okay, soft drinks, wine or beer but the wine was seriously bad. There is a nice supermarket next door so we bought rolls etc from there for our daughter. Pool was nice and clean. The lady that ran the bar in the day was proper miserable but the evening barman was great. The evening drinks were much better with some lovely cocktails and a much more friendly staff. Entertainment is 3 nights a week, a group who were good, karaoke which was painful as no one apart from our table got up and tried to sing and Greek dancers. There are some lovely tavernas a few minutes walk away which were great food and prices. Definitely a budget hotel and I would go back but definitely not all inclusive. Hotel very tired and a bit shabby but you get what you pay for. Beds were comfy and cleaned daily, aircon barely worked. Nothing there for kids apart from the pool. We did the Symi boat trip which was really good and the Lindos 7 springs coach trip was brilliant ( definitely take water shoes). We booked trips through ‘holiday essentials’ who have an office about 10 mins walk left out of the hotel as they were much cheaper than the reps. We didn’t go to Rhodes town as we were there in a heatwave and it was just too hot. Don’t get me wrong, we had a great stay and the people we met made it but please don’t go all inclusive. B and B maybe at best and if there’s more than two of you, go for a family room or you’ll be living out of...
