⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Unforgettable Dining Experience in the Heart of Lindos
If you're visiting Lindos and searching for an exceptional culinary experience that combines authentic Greek flavors, impeccable service, and warm hospitality, look no further than Odyssia Restaurant. Nestled in one of the most charming corners of the village, this restaurant delivers not just a meal, but a genuine taste of Greek culture and kindness.
From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the staff, and what immediately stood out was the atmosphere of calm professionalism paired with sincere friendliness. The setting is elegant yet unpretentious, with a beautiful rooftop terrace offering lovely views and a romantic ambiance, perfect for a relaxed evening meal or a special celebration.
The menu is rich with traditional Greek dishes prepared with a modern touch. Every plate we ordered was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The seafood was particularly memorable, grilled octopus that was tender and smoky, and the catch of the day perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The moussaka was rich and comforting, and the local wines recommended by the team complemented the food superbly.
What truly made the evening special was the service. The staff are not only attentive and professional, but they also make you feel like a welcomed guest in their home. Special mention must go to Dimitris, the manager, who embodies everything you’d hope for in hospitality, charismatic, attentive, and truly passionate about offering an outstanding experience. He took time to explain the dishes, shared stories about the ingredients, and made sure every table was happy and well cared for. His presence added a personal and memorable touch to the evening.
In a destination filled with tourist-oriented spots, Odyssia stands out for its authenticity, high standards, and heart. It's the kind of restaurant you remember long after your holiday ends.
I highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates excellent food, warm service, and true Greek hospitality. Thank you to Dimitris and the entire team for a wonderful experience, we’ll definitely return on our next...
Read moreWe chose Odyssia because a thunderstorm started just before we left our hotel room and Odyssia was more or less the closest - it saved a soaking. The rain was so heavy that the owner was dressed in waterproof overalls. He was friendly and welcomed us. The picture of the restaurant shows the inside dining room well, it has a low-light laid-back ambience. Soft music, not Greek, quite pleasant. It might be trying to be chic for Lindos, but the decor wasn't unpleasant. See the photo gallery. We ate inside as it was still pouring, so sadly the roof terrace was out. We enjoyed our food but agree with some other reviewers that it is more pricey compared to other eateries nearby. We spent 82 euros for two adults and my 16-year old daughter - but found other restaurants served virtually the same meals, with similar house wine and a soft drink for around 60 euros, sometimes less. But there are others that are more pricey than Odyssia too, so take your pick. Two and a half stars would maybe be fairer - Odyssia is OK, comparable to other restaurants in Lindos centre, and the location is pretty central too. It's just a bit more expensive. Hence my rating. If I go back to Lindos I'd choose to eat elsewhere and save a few euros that way. It's a Scottish thing... not really. There's no parking in Lindos - it's car-free; and Lindos village centre is not a good place for wheelchair users. It's probably around 10 minutes walk from the nearest of 2 car parks. Check...
Read moreFood was definitely underwhelming, squid ink was super salty and the mushroom Bolognese was lacking salt, the mushroom starter was really good though!
Service right off the bat, the person greeting us said we had no reservation despite me calling, confirming and even remember repeating my name for him to spell out. Despite all the smiles and jokes, we ended up getting seated at a strange corner with a massive fan blowing out hot air since the weather was warm; on the side, I was eyeing this other table which was empty, we were told only this seat was available, eventually the customers in front of us left and we swapped places to the table next to us.
… it all seemed reasonable until we saw two others walk in, headed towards our initial seats, but this time, the manager goes out of his way to say, there’s a big fan there, it may be inconvenient, “would you guys like to go and sit at that table instead” (the one I was eyeing) and right in front of us… we were nothing but nice and smiles, I made sure to tip the waitress who was honestly a godsend but restaurant manager was terrible, food was eh, out of all our days in Rhodes island, there was much better nearby.
View is nice though, if you’re lucky to catch the manager in...
