Church of the Holy Virgin (Panagia) — Attraction in Municipality of Rhodes

You are not welcome here! Myself and my wife went and were well aware we would have to cover up. We had bearly stepped into the reception area before the middle aged woman there started SHOUTING at us "no shorts! No sharts! No shorts" over and over and over again. She swung her arm aggressively as she shouted at us. Taken aback we still paid the €6 to go in, the woman didn't thank us or speak to us at all, she chose to completely blank us, incredibly rude. We covered our legs with the grotty sweaty cloth grudgingly provided. Please don't waste your money, the church is very small and if you've seen the photos you have seen it. As we left my (very polite) wife said goodbye and the old woman said nothing, no acknowledgement, no response. Be clear, you are not welcome here. Greek Orthodox church. A.D 1300 (approx.) with some rebuilds at a later time. The belfry's height over the Lindos gives proper audibility of the bells above the city and surrounding area. A really beautiful tall bell is hosted by this Church in the begining of the old town. It's been an iconic symbol of this town since like forever as people seem to love tall old buildings I guess 😂.

There are some ridiculous rules like not wearing shorts snd stuff which I don't get and I believe a saw a sign of an entry fee which is also ridiculous. During the time of the pandemic, guided tours can't be hosted in this site as stated...
