Opera Steak House — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

Wonderful! We went to this based on the recommendations we found on the internet, and we weren't disappointed. The place is wonderfully decorated, really really nice. The waiters speak perfect English and are very friendly, polite, creating a welcoming atmosphere. They also have a very good selection of music to go hand in hand with the nice decors, in the range of blues, romantic hits and jazz music (even jazz remixes of commercial songs, which was a nice touch). The balcony tables on the open roof terrace, with views over the interior "garden", the greek statues and the palm trees look very romantic. The food tastes very good, we had chicken with shrooms sauce and a steak with fried egg and onion sauce and they were both delicious. And you get all of these for a surprisingly decent price! I would say not expensive at all. The deserts were not that good, but that does not deter a bit from my good opinion on this place. Would definitely visit...

Terrible food and terrible atmosphere. I have been waited 50 minutes to get just hamburger. I asked without lettuce and of course I got just lettuce. The beef wasnt a regular beef, it was like chicken which is horrible. Some of my friends who were there with me asked to return the burger because it was very bad, and the host agreed that it will cut off from the total bill. Of course that after we saw the total biil, the burgers still appeared on the bill. After an argument with the waiter, they took the cheapest burgers off the bill, not at all what my friends ordered. So we have been waited 50-60 minutes for the food and not just it was horrible, we paid 7 euros more because they took off the cheapest burgers only. I wiil never come back...

The place looks amazing - it’s really beautiful but the food lacked. We ordered the fillet with blue cheese sauce (the meat was grey and overcooked) and penne arrabiata (the pasta was also really over cooked to the extent that I couldn’t pick it up on the fork). Service was poor, we sat with empty glasses throughout the meal, it wasn’t busy the staff just weren’t paying attention and we had to grab staff twice to ask them for the bill and again to pay it.
