Tavern "Arístos" — Restaurant in Municipality of Southern Corfu

It was our very first day on the island of Corfu, and we were excited to explore its places and flavors. We went out for dinner without a particular plan, simply hoping to find something authentic. While walking around, a smiling lady invited us into the restaurant – we later found out she was the owner’s daughter. With great warmth, she explained that the place was family-run and served homemade food. That immediately won me over! My friends were a bit hesitant at first, but I convinced them to give it a try – and in the end, we were all so glad we did.

The atmosphere was calm, welcoming, and carried the true spirit of Greek hospitality. The staff was incredibly kind, friendly, and made us feel more like guests in their home than just customers.

The food was nothing short of amazing – a true celebration of flavors. We tried the moussaka, fried calamari, pasta, mussels, and feta with honey – every dish was prepared with care and tasted outstanding. The feta with honey was especially memorable – such a simple combination, yet so unique and delightful.

This is definitely one of the places I will remember from our trip. I truly believe that restaurants like this are what make a holiday special – when you meet genuine people who put love into what they do. I sincerely hope we’ll have the chance to return one day and enjoy even more of...

Excellent meal, very friendly and humorous owner! Drinks: freshly made lemonade from owner hand picked from lemon tree, good house red and white wine (low price too). Starters: Gigantes beans in red sauce, garlic-cheese bread, and Greek salad. All very good! Main meal: Klifteki (stewed lamb and potatoes) Pastitsada (stewed beef with pasta..local dish) and fried Sardines. All excellent, the meat was tender in good portions. Very reasonable prices. The owner gave us a fruit plate on the house for dessert. We came out feeling wonderful, like vacation should feel. Went a second time there and we had: Sofrito, Fried Bass, and King Prawns.
