I have come to this place on two different occasions. Once in the morning mid week after getting my hair cut at the barber shop across the street, at which time I encountered friendly staff and had an amazing fredo cappucino. Based on this, I would have given this place 5 stars. However, on the second occasion I came with a large group late night after a walk through the city. The staff was visibly annoyed to see customers, even though it is a 24 hour shop. That was a turn off. Also they at first refused to let us use the bathroom and were quite rude about it. Some of us were desperate to use the restroom and it took some arguing to get access and as a result, a large part of our group walked out and refused to buy anything. The location could have made a lot more money that night (for Management, it was early morning on August 3d just past midnight) as we are a group of people who eat well and tip well where deserved. In defence of the cashier, she did apologise to me about the incident, but it ruined the night for most of our group. The product is good, but some of the staff need to work on their people skills and for this reason I give it a 2 star rating.
Update: I feel that it is relevant to point out that we are a family with kids and were neither intoxicated nor unruly at the time...
Read moreWhat an amazing place! With just about every kind of food you could imagine, Ble really does have it all! With traditional Greek food, some Italian, French and even Spanish cuisine thrown in there, you can have seafood salads, focaccia and more!
They have a cafe in the corner of the restaurant, where they brew fresh coffee, grinding their beans right in front of you! You can even take some home if you like your beans fresh, ground or not.
But the real treat are their sweets. More than half of the enormous restaurant is full of pastries! Desserts as far as the eye can see, you will have no trouble in finding something yummy to eat! Might I recommend that you try their Double Belgium Chocolate pastry. Probably the best thing I've ever tasted in my life.
They have amazing (really truly incredible) Belgium chocolates, an ice cream bar and yummy Greek beers. Definitely...
Read moreIf you don't want to be served, please go to Blé. It's a posh place where clients are being treated without respect. After getting some food, I asked if I could have a drink. I was told I just could be seated and than somebody would come to take my order. First, I could not find any place as people who just drink one coffee and chat for 2 hours are considered more important than somebody who pays for food. I was also not being helped by the very ignorant employees to find a place. After I found myself a spot (on a 'reserved' table) nobody came to ask which I would drink. Even not after half an hour. This place was good, 4 years ago, but than some ignorant capitalists took over (and made it into a 'taste gallery'), and it became very bad. Also the bread is too expensive and not good anymore. To be...
