Galyfianakis — Local services in Municipality of Thessaloniki

Every time I leave my hometown to go up north I will take a pan of galaktomboureko! They wrap it with about a kilo of wrapping paper so no syrup oozes out in my suitcase and when I get back home and open it up to consume it it's still as fresh as when it comes out of the oven! The filo so crispy the cream with the perfect sweetness and texture the syrup not to sugary but just at the perfect sweetness as well! You can eat it warm you can eat it cold you can eat it with ice cream you can eat it with chocolate... just eat the thing it is out of this world!!! I will definitely be going back...

Searching all over town to find the best galactobourek for my husband who’s been longing for a taste from his childhood. Found it at Galyfianakis!! The baker was so kind and spoke excellent English. We arrived just in time to get the last piece before having to wait for the next batch that would be a 40 minute wait to be ready. The family shared that last slice of heavenly goodness.
