There is a reason this restaurant is nothing but 5 star ratings. Absolutely fantastic food, wine, and staff! This place is doing it right. Each item we ordered was fresh and full of flavor. Best mushrooms I’ve ever had (my wife will not eat mushrooms and she throughly enjoyed them!). Was about to order a second but we had to try other menu items. Food/meat portions are generous, and cooked to perfection. With so many other restaurant options near by (with tasty looking menus and views over the water) it seems a tough choice. It’s easy to be lured in by epic views, but we were inside and warm, out of the wind. And walking by those other “super view” restaurants at the start of dinner time had many people already, and Aroma Gefsis was fairly empty. Not even half way through our meal people were turned away at the door because it was packed. A particular thing most wouldn’t notice that added to highly notable service: The waiter sat the last available table, and when people came up to the door he politely said sorry we are full, and didn’t turn around to see what tables were almost finished and try to bring them their check to fill another table - that told me he wasn’t going to rush anyone out and let everyone enjoy their stay at their own pace. My fiancée and I had the worst service encounter at this restaurant which we came to for lunch on Oct 17. We arrived at noon and the restaurant was empty. The waiter started acting hostile 2 minute into us arriving for no apparent reason (we were polite and respectful). When we arrived, he told us to call to him when we were ready to order and he was annoyed when we did. I asked our waiter if he had any favorites on the menu and he proceeded to aggressively lecture me about how I shouldn’t be asking that. I clarified my question thinking he didn’t understand but he said he understood and again proceeded to continue lecturing me about how I should just order what I want to eat and not ask stupid questions. It wasn't just what he said but the way he said it-with such hate and disdain as if I had spit in his face. My fiancé and I decided to put money on the table for the water we had ordered which had already been poured and left immediately without ordering food. I only left money on the table for the water (which we didn't even drink) because I feared further confrontation from the waiter and wanted to get out of there as fast as possible. I've travelled to 30 countries and I’ve never had a waiter be so rude to me in my life. Stay away...
