DoDo's Santorini — Restaurant in Municipality of Thira

Not sure where to start from! We definitely recommend this place. At our arrival Mike, their charismatic driver came to pick us up from the airport and in our way, it was very kind from him to answer all our questions as first timmers, showing us interesting places and giving us suggestions already. Once in the place, we were welcome with a glass of wine at the beach bar..(not even 1h there and we were loving it!) Then Aroma came to brief us about the island, and the place itself also, finally he mentioned the tour they can organise for you and the discounts at the restaurant and the beach bar just for being a guest with them! (We highly recommend the tour to the volcano!) He also was available for us anytime we needed something we could text him and got it sorted for us, like the car we rent, we didn't need to go to any rental agency as the day after we had the car waiting for us just to give our details and start the day, this was very convenient to take pictures or have a refreshment in the most amazing spots you can find our your way through the whole island which took us 45min to drive around from South to North. During our stay we were very well look after by the staff, always anticipating to our needs!! Housekeeping went above and beyond as well replacing toiletries and towels before we even ask for it.

Although not the greatest looking restaurant on the strip, the initial welcome was lovely. When we returned that evening for our last night on the island the waiter was not helpful when questions were asked following my dietary requirements. His smile quickly disappeared and his voice began to raise as he became more impatient. He walked off shouting and complaining to another colleague for ages and we could hear him. This experience ruined my last night of my honeymoon and the the live music was so nice and we missed out on the monday night plate smashing. 🍽 Please make sure your staff care about the customer and not just the money they could potentially spend. Customer service is from start to finish once Customers enter your establishment. Thank you to the kind staff earlier on in the day who warmly invited us. You genuinely love your job and people. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

I would give this place negative stars if I could. The “gyros” we were served were completely dried out, rubbery meat I wouldn’t even feed my dog. We waited over an hour for this inedible food to arrive.

From the start, the service was unprofessional — our waiter flirted with my friend, winked at her, and made us both feel uncomfortable. When we complained about the food, the host yelled at us in front of the entire restaurant, saying the gyros are “all like that” and admitting it’s not real meat — which is why he doesn’t eat them.

To make matters worse, we witnessed blatant racism toward a group of Chinese guests. Staff mocked them by saying “Opa Gangnam Style,” played the song, laughed, and pointed. The group looked humiliated.

Between the terrible food, appalling service, and openly discriminatory behavior, I strongly recommend avoiding this place...
