Two things really set this restaurant apart: The staff are so friendly and passionate about what they do. They really appreciate compliments and they go way out of their way to make sure you have the best experience possible. For example, we received a small digestive liqueur as an after dinner gift and our waitress remember from THE DAY BEFORE that we had asked for nom alcoholic beers and she came over to ask if we'd prefer something without alcohol. We were touched by that. And The olive oil they put on the table with the bread is incredible. We spoke to one of the staff members who told us they press the oil from their own trees. Absolutely incredible.
As others said, stunning views, not as busy as in central Oia and delicious food. I highly suggest the grilled octopus and the moussaka, those were my favourite. After having not the best food at restaurants in Oia, we came here twice during our short trip just so we could have more menu items! The food always exceeded our expectations.
Thank you Finikia for the...
Read moreTruly a must go! I wish I could give it even more stars. Definitely worth the 15 minute walk from Oia. We had several dishes and all were interesting and delicious. The service is simply the best I've had in all of Greece. Kind, attentive, and focused on delivering a great experience. They start the meal with bread and their amazing olive oil, which they harvest and press themselves, on the house. The salads (finikia and Santorini), octopus, moussaka, and baklava are all fantastic. You can tell they put effort into thier dishes and are proud of the food they serve. The view is also fantastic but far from the only reason to visit. Great atmosphere to sit and watch the sun set away from the crowded streets of Oia. The interior is also comfortable and well appointed if you need a break from the sun. Do yourself a favor, avoid the crowds and catch the sunset in style, you won't regret it. IWill be remembering this place fondly for...
Read moreLovely location but after that nothing great. Ordered steamed mussels for appetiser and they were kind of room temperature and not cleaned properly (the mussel hairs were still attached which made me worry that they were not prepared with care or freshly). Main course of lamb chops were acceptable if one was grilling on the beach but they were dried out and accompanied with some plain potatoes and a little pot of balsamic vinegar. My partner ordered pork fillet for the main and what they received was much thinner and not resembling any fillet. There was also no sauce at all to accompany it. Not an impressive experience and not sure where all the five star reviews are...
