A Hidden Gem in Finikia – Absolutely Perfect!
We’ve visited Krinaki Tavern twice during our stay in Santorini, and it’s easily one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had — not just on the island, but anywhere.
From the warm and welcoming service, to the incredible food, to the peaceful and authentic atmosphere in the heart of Finikia village — everything is simply 10 out of 10.
My boyfriend and I are spending the summer working in Santorini, and coming to Krinaki felt like a true escape. After long days of work, finding a place that offers such peace, kindness, and soul-warming food was a gift. It reminded us of why we love Greece so much — the hospitality, the flavors, the people.
Every dish we tried was fresh, full of flavor, and clearly made with love and high-quality local ingredients. You can really tell that this is a place where tradition meets care and passion. The setting is magical — away from the crowds, with a calm and cozy vibe that makes you feel at home the moment you walk in.
What makes Krinaki truly stand out is not just the food, but the heart behind it. You feel the love and dedication in every detail — from the service, to the music, to the way the tables are set. It’s the kind of place that stays with you, even after you leave.
It’s rare to find a spot that gets everything right — and Krinaki does just that. Whether you’re visiting Santorini for a few days or you live here, do yourself a favor and come experience it.
Highly, highly recommended. Thank you to the wonderful team for making our evenings so special. We’ll...
Read moreMy husband and I had our lunch here twice. We enjoyed our meal so much that we decided to go back again on our last day in Santorini. The waiter who served us both times, Milton, was really good and such a professional. He was really thoughtful and took time to understand our food restrictions and advised us how we can inform other restaurants about it. Everything we had was simply delicious. We had the bread basket, grilled mushroom on skewers and the Greek orzo with seafood on the first day. The second time we were there, we ordered the sardines bruschetta on sourdough, the mixed greens salad with fruits and goat cheese and the fresh dorado fillet with mixed fried fresh greens/ cherry tomatoes. Absolutely delicious that we finished everything. We had the Greek vermicelli with lemon cream for dessert as recommended by Milton and we liked it very much, as it was not too sweet. When we told Milton it was our last day in Santorini, we were served another sweet dessert… a cake made with semolina, served with Greek yogurt and berry sauce. It was a sweet end to our meal. Another reason you should eat at Krinaki is the reasonable price of the food. We have been to so many restaurants in Greece and Krinaki...

This excellent restaurant is a bit off the beaten track, but it's absolutely worth the effort to find it. The terrace offers breathtaking views over the countryside, making for a truly memorable dining experience.
What We Had:
Starters Deep-fried calamari Basket of white and brown sourdough bread French Fries/Potatos Plate of cucumber (specially prepared for our son upon request - not on the menu)
Main Courses Grilled buffalo soutzoukakia from Kerkini (meatballs with cumin and garlic) served with pita bread, tomato sauce, onions, and yogurt dip with garlic Lamb wrapped in vine leaves with village-style potato purée (probably the best I've ever tasted)
Dessert Greek vermicelli "sandwich" with cream of lemon
All paired with a lovely local white wine.
The Verdict: The food was fantastic - fresh and incredibly flavorful. The staff's willingness to prepare something special for our son really demonstrated their hospitality. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic cuisine in a...
